Trio of Monthly Honors for the WCHA: WCHA players took home national player of the month honors in each of the first three months the awards have been presented by the Hockey Commissioners Association. Alabama Huntsville freshman forward Tyrone Bronte garnered Rookie of the Month honors in November after leading the Chargers in assists (three) and tying for the team lead in points (three) and plus/ minus (+2). Michigan Tech sophomore Blake Pietila earned HCA Goaltender of the Month honors in December after sharing the league lead in wins with four and posting a 1.52 GAA for the month. Minnesota State junior Dryden McKay earned national Goaltender of the Month accolades in January after leading the nation in shutouts for the month with four and posting a 0.50 GAA and a .971 save percentage.

Ferris State's Kaufman Honored by AHCA: Long-time Ferris State assistant coach Mark Kaufman has been chosen as the 2021 recipient of the American Hockey Coaches Association's Terry Flanagan Award. The award is presented annually to honor an assistant coach's career body of work.
