BIME LIVE, the biggest autumn festival in South Europe, announces Kraftwerk 3D as first headliner o Amaia, Carolina Durante, Band, Aitor Etxebarria y Banpiro Maitaleak (Mursego + Amorante)join the first preview of the line-up o BIME PRO warms up for the great music industry trade fair

Festivals aren’t just for summer. BIME LIVE, the best ‘indoor’ autumn festival, which will be held 1- 2 November at BEC! in Bilbao, returns for yet another year and has announced the first artists on its line-up, with German headliners Kraftwerk, pioneers in electronic music, who arrive with a spectacular 3D set-up after a triumphant tour of the world’s top contemporary art museums; and Amaia, who at only 19 years won over the entire country with her voice and charisma, is now working on her first álbum with Raúl Refree in New York, a stimulating work that marks the start of a career auguring no limits.

These early confirmations are also joined by Carolina Durante a four-piece Madrid band that appeared on the music scene and turned it on its head in record time, with a style between punk rock and noise pop and the release of just a couple of EPs and a bunch of unquestionable hits they sold out gigs all over Spain, progressed to the line-ups of the big festivals and signed with a multinational record company – quite a feat for a band that had only been playing for two years. BIME LIVE will also receive Mark Lanegan, who was the leader during the 80s and 90s of one of the most distinguished groups on the scene, the Screaming Trees. He has spent more than two decades reinventing himself as a solo artist. In May, he will release a new that we can enjoy at BIME LIVE.

Composer and programmer Aitor Etxebarria doesn’t usually lavish us with live performances, and this autumn we’re lucky enough to have him in Bilbao, presenting his new album. It’s a very special opportunity to enjoy his post-rock landscapes with minimalist backdrops and a certain eccentric touch. Finally, the Bilbao festival is joined by Banpiro Maitaleak (the vampire lovers), the partnership between Mursego and Amorante in a very special format in which both artists’ repertoires are blended together for a joint live performance. Two very profound visions of music in a show they have performed on very few occasions; this is the only date this year when it will be possible to see this act. A real gem.
