All-Time Record: 3,245-3,757 CHASING GLORY: Named the Padres Most Valuable Player by the San Diego chapter of the BBWAA, All-Time at Home: 1,746-1,757 Chase Headley had a season to remember…the Padres third baseman finished fifth in National League Most Valuable Player voting following the season…he started 159 of the club’s 162 games in 2012, all at All-Time at Petco Park: 377-352 third base, hitting .286 on the year…set career-highs in hits (173), HR (31), RBI (115), runs (95), walks (86) All-Time on the Road: 1,499-2,000 and tied his career-highs in doubles (31) and stolen bases (17). • Led the National League with 115 RBI, becoming just the second Padre in history to lead the league in RBI (also, Dave Winfield, 118 in 1979)…his 115 RBI ranked tied with Joe Carter (1990) NATIONAL LEAGUE for seventh-most in a season on the Padres all-time list. SECOND HALF RECORD • Had the 18th 30-homer campaign in Padres history, the 12th different Padre to do so…first Padre to hit 30 homers in a season since Adrian Gonzalez also hit 31 homers in 2010…prior to Gonzalez Rank Team Record (who had 30+ homers from 2007-10 for SD), the last Padres to hit 30 homers in a season were Phil 1. MLB STOLEN BASE LEADERS • Cabrera was recalled from Triple-A Tucson on 5/17, having gone 15-for-15 in SB attempts for Tuc- son…was 59-for-63 in SB attempts overall in 2012, including his time with Tucson.
