Triple Platform Full Ordination Ceremony Jointly Organized by Malaysian Buddhist Association & Kek Lok Si ,

Malaysian Buddhist Association and Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang, will jointly organize a Triple Platform Full Ordination Ceremony, in order to propagate the Vinaya teachings of Buddha.

1.Dates ： (a) Ordination ： 3rd November to 28 th November 2011 for a total of 26 days. (b) Short-term Monastic Retreat: 21 st November to 30 th November 2011, for a total of 10 days. (c) Five Precept Retreat: 29th November to 3 rd December 2011, for a total of 5 days.

2.Masters of Full Ordination Ceremony: Master DaoHai Master XinTian Master RiHeng Venerable YuanXi Venerable WeiSheng Venerable ShaoAn Venerable ChuanRen Venerable XinCi

3.Application: From now until 20 th October 2011 (Full Ordination & Five Percept Retreat) or 1 st Nov 2011 (Short-term Monastic Retreat).

4.Procedure: (a) Ordination: completed application form; 2 passport-sized photos; photocopy of identity card and passport (if applicable). Married applicants, please attach consent letter from spouse. (b) Short-Term Monastic & Five Precept Retreat: completed application form; photocopy of conversion certificate, identity card and passport (if applicable); 2 passport-sized photos. (c) Short-Term Monastic Retreat: minor of over 12 years old, signature of parent or guardian required.

5.Eligibility: (a) Ordination: over 20 years old, with positive belief and right views, in good mental and physical condition, having good conduct. (b) Short-Term Monastic & Five Precept Retreat: no bad habits, in good mental and physical condition, with positive belief and right views.

7.Fee: Kasaya, bowl, food, accommodation will be provided. Fee: (Full Ordination) RM200; laundry: RM100. (Five Percept Retreat) RM100. Short-Term Monastic Retreat application fee: adult: RM100; student: waived.
