CANADA DRY Athletes of the Week

Red Bank Saturday is: * “War At The Shore”

This Saturday’s football game against Red Bank Regional feels like a state play-off game because there is so much at stake. First, the Class B North Crown will most likely go to the winner. If we win, the crown is ours. If Red Bank wins, they will have to beat Long Branch on Thanksgiving Day to clinch the top notch. Moreover, Saturday’s game is critical to the state playoff picture. If we win, we’re in. If we lose Saturday, many scenarios would have to take place for us to qualify. It’s pretty much the same for Red Bank. How To Contain Red Bank Red Bank’s offense is widely regarded as one of the tops at the shore. Junior running back Eric McCoo is arguably the best back in the state. His break-away speed every time he touches the ball poses a great challenge to our defense. McCoo is not alone, however. Senior quarterback Tony Racioppi is a darn good passer who runs the offense well. We must be able to reasonably contain both athletes if we expect to win. right back.
