Students are encouraged to explore other art forms in addition to work in their own fields. Consequently, the Institute program is planned with interfacing between all the arts areas. Every area of instruction is developed carefully and cooperatively with the faculty and advisory panels of Oklahoma artists. The student is the central concern of every program. Classes are small in order to assure a close relationship with instructors. This contact with the artist allows personal direction as well as encouragement and the development of skills. Public performances and exhibits, mini concerts and demonstrations are an important part of the overall program. A festival of the arts called "Onstage at Quartz Mountain" will be open to the public on June 8, 9 and 10 and June 15, 16 and 17. Board Mrs. Paul Cullen Harold C.
