Product News: Welcome to the first newsletter of 2017. Included below are a few reminders on critical 2017 changes and news on upcoming promotions. See below for details.
Important Reminders for 2017 Changes: Rail Europe Administrative Fee Effective 01 January 2017, a Rail Europe Administrative Fee of 7% will be applied to all refunds on bookings made through Rail Europe websites. Please note that text notifying customers of this fee will be printed: on the secondary vouchers for passes and tickets on document covers and on the proforma invoice: NOTE: This fee is not applicable to GSA bookings made through Euronet and GSAs will not be assessed this fee when processing refunds or exchanges
France Rail Pass: Discontinued for 2017 As communicated with the End of Year updates, the France Rail Pass has been discontinued for 2017. If a traveller has purchased a France Rail Pass in 2016: It is valid for travel in 2017 and must be activated within 11 months of the purchase date The France Rail Pass-specific passholder fares will be available on the following trains for travel dates until 31 January 2018: French Journey, France-Freiburg TGV, Paris-Luxembourg TGV, France-Spain High Speed France Rail Pass is not valid for a passholder fare on Eurostar travel in 2017 France Rail Pass is valid for Pass 1, Pass 2, etc “in one of the countries travelled through” on applicable trains
Eurail France Pass: NEW for 2017! As communicated with the End of Year updates, the Eurail France Pass is new for 2017. If a traveller has purchased a Eurail France Pass in 2017: It is valid for travel in 2017 and must be activated within 11 months of the purchase date Eurail-specific passholder fares will be available on the following trains: French Journey, France-Freiburg TGV, Paris- Luxembourg TGV, France-Spain High Speed Eurail France Pass is valid for a passholder fare on Eurostar travel in 2017 and will require use of a travel day Eurail France Pass is valid for Pass 1, Pass 2, etc “in one of the countries travelled through” on applicable trains CLICK HERE to access the Product Fact Sheet
Eurostar Passholder Fares As communicated with the End of Year updates, Eurostar is a new bonus partner with Eurail Special passholder fare for Eurail or Interrail passes covering at least one of the countries travelled through o Will require the use of a travel day o Class of service must match the class of service on the pass o 45-minute advance check-in required BritRail Pass & France Rail Pass (discontinued for 2017) are not eligible for a passholder fare CLICK HERE to access the Product Fact Sheet

Construction Alert: Paris Gare de Lyon: Traffic Disruption & Cancellations On 18-19 March 2017 construction at Paris Gare de Lyon will result in rail service being disrupted and some trains may be cancelled: Cancelled Service on 18 – 19 March TGV Trains to Italy will not run TGV Trains to Spain will not run TGV Trains to Freiburg im Breisgau will not run Change in Station 17 – 19 March Lyria trains arriving the evening of 17 March will arrive at Paris Gare de l’Est Lyria trains will depart/arrive Paris Gare de l’Est on 18 – 19 March and no stops will be made at Dijon, Belfort or Bern. Domestic French trains that normally arrive at Gare de Lyon: o Trains to/from Marseille/Cote d’Azur will depart/arrive Roissy TGV station. Travelers will need to take the RER B to get to Paris o Trains to/from Lyon will depart/arrive Marne la Vallée station. Travelers will need to take the RER A to get to Paris o Trains to/from Grenoble and the Alps will depart/arrive Versailles Chantiers station. Marseille: Lounge Renovation The lounge in Marseille will be closed for renovation from 16 December 2016 – 14 January 2017.

STS Express Door-to Door Group Luggage Effective 01 January 2017, the STS Express Door-to-Door Group Luggage product is available for sales Group rate available for groups of 10-50 people travelling by rail Select the “Group Luggage Including Delivery Fee” product in Euronet with no “additional rail days or items” Follow the same procedure as for Individuals booking the Express Door-to-Door Luggage product CLICK HERE to access the Product Fact Sheet
