Fight Network Presents BKB: Rosado Vs. Stevens LIVE This Saturday, April 4 at 10 P.M Fight Network Presents BKB: Rosado vs. Stevens LIVE this Saturday, April 4 at 10 p.m. ET T o r o n t o – F i g h t N e t w ork, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, presents a stacked live edition of the popular Big Knockout Boxing series this Saturday, April 4 at 10 p.m. ET from Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay, headlined by a BKB middleweight title fight as Philadelphia’s former WBO Intercontinental light middleweight champion Gabriel Rosado defends his title against Brooklyn’s former NABF middleweight kingpin Curtis Stevens. Fight Network’s broadcast of BKB: Rosado vs. Stevens will air live exclusively in Canada. The bill features four more title fights, as Chicago’s David Estrada takes on Russian Kurshid Abdullaev for the BKB junior middleweight title, California natives Javier Garcia and Jonathan Chicas throw down for the BKB welterweight title, San Jose native Anthony Johnson meets Colorado’s Joey Montoya for the BKB cruiserweight title, plus Las Vegas’ own Layla McCarter faces Australia’s Diana Prazak for the BKB women’s lightweight title. The star-studded bill also features Gabe Duluc vs. Antonio Canas, Jesus Soto Karass vs. Ed Paredes, Julian Pollard vs. Elijah McCall and Herbert Acevedo vs. William Hutchinson. Big Knockout Boxing is a revolutionary concept showcasing fights inside a pit with a 17-inch diameter, about half the size of a traditional boxing ring. With no ropes and no corners, there’s no choice but to engage. Quicker two-minute rounds leave no room for evasion strategies, plus sensors in the fighters’ gloves measure the speed and force of every punch they throw, so you can see the actual impact of every hook, jab and haymaker. The live broadcast of BKB: Rosado vs. Stevens at 10 p.m. ET will immediately follow an encore presentation of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night™: Mendes vs. Lamas Prelims from Fairfax, Virginia, which repeats at 8 p.m. ET following the live telecast at 11 a.m. ET. Also this Saturday, Enfusion Live 26 kickboxing emanates from The Hague, Netherlands live at 3 p.m. ET, headlined by a -60kg world championship showdown pitting Reda Narain against Tommy Dieckmann. • Curtis Stevens Vs. James De La Rosa Scouting Report
Curtis Stevens vs. James de la Rosa Scouting Report Las Vegas, Nevada: On November 19, Curtis “Cerebral Assassin” Stevens (28-5, 21 KOs) will attempt to defend his WBA Continental Americas Middleweight Title against James “The King” De La Rosa (23-4, 13 KOs) in a 10-round bout which kicks off the Kovalev-Ward “Pound For Pound” HBO Pay-Per-View telecast live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Below is the scouting report for this exciting match-up: Category Curtis “The Cerebral Assassin” Stevens “King” James De La Rosa Age 31 28 Record 28-5 (21 KOs) 23-4 (13 KOs) Strength Curtis is a power-puncher that can end the fight with any punch he throws. He has plenty of experience and has fought better opposition than his opponent. James has quick hands and is fast on his feet. He is a brave fighter who has never turned down a fight. He also has faced a number of current and former ranked opposition in his young career. Weakness Stevens has been somewhat inactive, his recent victory in May of this year was his first time in a boxing ring since 2014. He also has a tendency to not let his hands go, which could be costly when fighting De La Rosa who is in a must-win situation. Similar to his opponent, James has been somewhat inactive with only one fight since 2014. He also has a suspect chin; he’s been stopped once in his career. He will have to tighten up his defense when facing a heavy-handed puncher in Curtis Stevens.

The scheduled 12-round championship fight tops a seven-bout card which begins at 7.30 p.m. “Philadelphia’s boxing history has been punctuated by some of the fiercest neighborhood brawls,” said Hall-of-Fame promoter J Russell Peltz. “You can go all the way back to Lew Tendler in the early days of the century and run right through my career with matches like Bennie Briscoe vs. Cyclone Hart. These are the local fights that made Philly a boxing capitol for a long time. “I hope the Ennis-Rosado fight can help to jump-start other potential local matches which can help Philadelphia reclaim its place among the best boxing towns in the country.” Ennis, 29, is from the Germantown section of Philadelphia. He won the vacant USBA title last Oct. 16 when he earned a unanimous 12-round decision over Eromosele Albert, of Miami FL. In two non-title fights since then, Ennis K0d Edwin Vasquez, of Santurce, Puerto Rico, and out-pointed Jose Adelaydo Gonzalez, of Garden City, KS. A pro since 2002, Ennis has a record of 21-2-1, 13 K0s. He also holds the Pennsylvania State Junior Middleweight title which he won by beating another Philadelphian, Troy Browning, in 2008.

“KING” GABRIEL ROSADO PROUD TO BE A PHILLY FIGHTER; BACK IN ACTION ON SEPT. 9 Philadelphia, PA—King Gabriel Rosado, of Philadelphia, who takes pride in being a Philly fighter, meets Keenan Collins, of Reading, PA, for the vacant Pennsylvania State Junior Middleweight Title in a scheduled 10-round contest Friday evening, Sept. 9, at the Asylum Arena, 7 West Ritner Street. “It takes a lot of pride to be a Philly fighter,” said Rosado, who is returning to action less than two months since knocking out Ayi Bruce, of Ghana, in five rounds on July 15. “Philly fighters have skills, but at the same time they have a lot of heart, so when I step in the ring, I want to display my skills and at the same time entertain the crowd because they want to see a good fight. “Bernard Hopkins, Meldrick Taylor and Ivan Robinson are well-known Philly fighters and, hopefully, one day I’ll be on that level. I want to be a star and a legend. Being a Philly fighter, I have a lot of pride and I want to give the fans exactly what they want.” Rosado (17-5, 10 KOs), is riding the most impressive streak of his career, having won his last three fights, seven of his last nine, 11 of his last 14. Included in those streaks are victories over former IBF world junior middleweight champ Kassim Ouma, of Uganda, and top contender Saul Roman, of Mexico. The Rosado-Collins championship bout and the semifinal, which features unbeaten welterweight prospect Ronald Cruz, of Bethlehem, PA, against Anges Adjaho, of Buffalo, NY, will be broadcast on TeleFutura’s Solo Boxeo Tecate at 11.30pm ET/PT (10.30pm CT).

  • Fight Night Will Return with Tomasz "Goral" Adamek Vs
On Saturday, June 16th, NBC Sports Network "Fight Night will return with Tomasz "Goral" Adamek vs. "Fast" Eddie Chambers at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The first fight will be 6:30pm at "The Rock" and the NBCSN broadcast will begin begin at 9PM ET. The undercard is a true boxing fan's dream: Bryant Jennings: Jennings made a big splash when he agreed to step into the very first NBC Sports Network Fight Night main event. Jennings beat Maurice Byarm that night, and has been on a roll ever since. His TKO of Sergei Liakhovich on NBCSN in March proved that Jennings was no fluke. This Saturday, Jennings, 13-0, 6 KOs, makes his third appearance on the series when he takes on Steve Collins, 25-1, 18 KOs for the USBA heavyweight title in the 10-round co-feature. vs. Steve Collins: The once-defeated Texan Steve Collins, 25-1-1, 18 KOs, has twice as many pro bouts as the fast-rising Bryant Jennings, and has more knockouts than Jennings has fights. So, the "Freight Train", as his fans call him, may present a stern challenge for the new NBCSN star. With all that power, Collins will certainly be looking to test Jennings' chin. To help him out, the Texan will have height and weight advantages over the Philadelphian. Perhaps Collins can do what Jennings' previous 13 opponents could not. ________________ Curtis Stevens: In his first fight as a true middleweight (160 lbs.), Curtis Stevens, 22-3, 16 KOs, looks to make a splash before Adamek's Polish fans at the Prudential Center, where he upset then undefeated Pitor Wilczewski, in his last start in Newark, on July 11, 2009.

  • Gabriel Rosado Prepares for Sept. 9 Fight And
GABRIEL ROSADO PREPARES FOR SEPT. 9 FIGHT AND CREDITS BERNARD HOPKINS Philadelphia, PA—In what has become a common story from rising Philadelphia fighters, 25-year-old Gabriel Rosado, like undefeated 28- year-old welterweight Mike Jones, credits ageless wonder Bernard Hopkins for being a helpful influence. Rosado, who boxes Keenan Collins, of Reading, PA, for the Pennsylvania State junior middleweight title Sept. 9 at the Asylum Arena in South Philadelphia, also has helped Hopkins, who became, at age 46, the oldest man to win a major boxing title, prepare for some of his fights. “I’ve been a sparring partner for Bernard for four of his fights, including his last win,” (a 12- round decision over Jean Pascal in May), said Rosado, who turned pro in 2006 after just 17 amateur fights. “If Bernard sees potential in you, he takes the time to break things down for you. He shares his boxing techniques and old-school traits with you. He has improved my footwork and has shown me how to close the distance between myself and my opponents. He has made a big difference in my career and I’m impressed watching him fight at 46. He’s the coolest dude.” Rosado (17-5, 10 KOs), is riding the most impressive streak of his career, having won his last three fights, seven of his last nine, 11 of his last 14. Included in those streaks are victories over former IBF world junior middleweight champ Kassim Ouma, of Uganda, and top contender Saul Roman, of Mexico. The Rosado-Collins championship bout and the eight-round semifinal, which features unbeaten welterweight prospect Ronald Cruz, of Bethlehem, PA, will be broadcast on TeleFutura’s Solo Boxeo Tecate at 11.30pm ET/PT (10.30pm CT).
