Hofer was Edmonton Oilers prospect Stuart Skinner’s backup during the 2018 WHL Playoffs and was a part of the team’s WHL Championship. This season, he has just six wins in 30 games but was playing on the last place team in the WHL after advancing every top scorer from the championship team. He has faced over 40 pucks on average per game, stopping 90% of them for a WHL-high 1,136 stops. Before he was acquired by the Winterhawks, he stopped 43 of 47 shots against Portland last week and followed that performance up with his first shutout of the season, a 46-save effort against the 35-5-0-1 25-11-3-2 Regina Pats. 1ST in EAST 2nd IN West HEAD-TO-HEAD Paterson comes to the Hawks with 246 games of WHL experience, scoring 74 goals and 64 points for 138 points and a 17-2-0-1 HOME 14-5-2-0 measly 37 penalty minutes.
