Halloween Grand Avenue Businesses, Usually on a Saturday two weeks before Halloween – call before this to see if they are still having this activity. They give out free candy to the children. There is a charge for this. In 2011 it was $8.00 per vehicle. Check the website to see some of the lights they may have. 2 Holiday Train, The Holiday Train, with Santa, returns to Cottage Grove early to mid-December on a Saturday around 5:30 p.m., on West Point Douglas Road South, south of the 80th Street overpass, near the Youth Service Bureau.
