Arriving in Bogotá, the vibrant Colombian capital home to more than 7 million people, financial and political center of the country, you’ll see excellent museums and cultural events, graceful churches, and thriving nightlife. You’ll visit the historical neighborhood of La Candelaria, ride to , and visit the colorful Paloquemao market to enjoy the traditional cuisine.

In Zipaquirá you will see the marvelous underground Salt Cathedral, then head to , a truly colonial town that has been preserved in its entirety. Activities to choose from here include local vineyards, a Dominican Monastery or the Indian observatory. You’ll also visit the town of Raquira, with its brightly painted facades and beautiful Pottery workshops.

From there you’ll head North to the Department of Santander, and visit the picturesque bohemian town of with some of the most well- preserved colonial architecture. This will be your base to see other magical towns of , Socorro, and Girón, that play an important part in Colombia’s history.
