RVTS fact sheet June, 2019 ABOUT Robinvale ROBINVALE Mildura Manangatang VICTORIA Melbourne Victoria ABOUT TARGETED RECRUITMENT The Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) has expanded its traditional workforce retention and training model by recruiting doctors to targeted remote communities with high medical workforce need. The aim is to enhance the attractiveness of rural and remote posts to high quality applicants to provide communities with a well-supported and sustainable GP workforce. 1 Stories of the Flood Project The Stories of the Flood project was funded by the Victorian Department of Planning and Community Development via the State Government’s Floods Community Recovery Fund. The project aimed to capture individual stories and experiences of the devastating 2011 flood in the Buloke Shire. Stories of the flood is a collection of photographic images and individually written stories about the flood and the impact it had on the Buloke community. The emphasis is on the impact of the flood event on the Shire as a whole and the capture of the widest possible range of stories and impressions. We wish to thank those who have contributed to the project and who have shared their experiences with the wider community. It has been a privilege to put these stories together and we would like to personally thank all the individuals and groups for their contribution.
