Our Holiday Hours: SPCC Takes on Switzerland Dec 22-Jan2 – CLOSED Our very own Sarah Brown and Roland Robinson

Jan 3 12-9pm – Practice ice flew to Europe and competed in the Mixed Doubles Challenge in Urdorf, Switzerland. Jan 4 1-3pm – Practice ice The event (Dec. 15-17) featured five Olympic Jan 5 – regular hours resume mixed doubles teams from different countries. Sarah and Roland were the only Canadian team at Team Norway the event and placed third overall. Team Norway is heading to Sherwood Park to prep for the Grand Slam Canadian . January 16th will be a happy day here at the office!

Feb 2017 Cara, Mel and Sarah “holding” down the fort while superstar manager was at the 2017 SCOTTIES! Feb 2017 Superheroes took over the SPCC for a weekend at the junior bonspiel! Volunteers to the rescue! Christina and Yvonne put on their 50/50 capes and rocked the weekend!

March 2017 Heather coaches one of our juniors, Tyler. Welcome to the SPCC family Tyler! Our favourite bookkeeper, Mel turns 30! Joanne Courtney visits our juniors to share her knowledge, her win from the Scotties and her joy of curling! Thanks for coming Joanne! March 2017 Seniors rock green for St. Patty’s Day! Dana Algot and Brandt Holt take home the MVP award from U18 program!

March 2017 The SPCC welcomes international teams! Guy Algot takes on Team Italy, as well as the juniors. Team China duels SPCC juniors. To prep for 2017 Ford Men’s Worlds. We are over the moon to have international teams train in our facility.

March 2017 SPCC Club Championships! Congrats… Men’s: Team Rimmer Mixed: Team Reiniger Ladies: Team Alfrey April 2017 SPCC Ice makers take on the Ice Makers Bonspiel! SPCC staff treat themselves to the Ford Men’s World’s in attempts to set Sarah up with Niklas Edin! Wedding invitations to be sent in the New Year!

June 2017 Heather and Cara represent the SPCC at the Chamber of Commerce golf tournament. Showcasing the yummy treats from the Belvedere and showing the basics of curling!

September 2017 The greatest present ever! Huge thank you to Lorraine and Milt Kaiser for the beautiful lost and found box! Come check it out at October 2017 the pro shop J 2nd Annual Doubles Classic back at the SPCC! Friday Night Mixed welcomed TWO junior teams to the league! YAY! October 2017 Only some of our amazing junior coaches! Thank you thank you thank you! Sarah rocking a trillion school groups—happy students at the SPCC!

November 2017 SPCC hosts the Winter Game trails and four SP Junior doubles teams qualified for the Feb 2018 AWG in Wood Buffalo! Marc Kennedy joins the U15/18 junior program previous to Olympic trials to share his secrets to success! Thanks for inspiring the SP juniors Marc! November 2017 U15 Team Korea comes the SPCC for our U21 Junior Bonspiel! Timothy Lawrence, 10 years old, wins an athletic award for playing up with in the U15 division! SP juniors are awesome! Junior coach, Tyler Brodt steps in to teach our U12’s some sweeping tips and tricks!

December 2017 U12 juniors, Sienna Famulak with Coach Cara and Thiessen Horseman with Coach Sarah take home prizes from the Christmas Party!

SPCC members got into the Christmas spirit with a rustic paint night and wine & whiskey tasting!

The SPCC gives back! SPCC donated 85 pounds, SPCC Seniors donated $500, and the Tuesday Ladies donated $2590 to the Strathcona Food bank. Cheers to great 2017—we are looking forward to 2018 with the SPCC!
