(21 - 28 July 2017, Perm, )

Summer Jungian School of MAAP (RSAP) is an annual conference for Depth psychology, as well as a rich sightseeing tourist program. The 2017 conference will take place in the Perm (Ural) region of Russia.

According to legend, in ancient times the land of Perm was inhabited by the mysterious Chud people. But they eventually disappeared, leaving behind the names of the settlements and the oral folklore that has been passed down from generation to generation.

It is believed that the Chud people's nature was twofold: they were ordinary people and supernatural beings with kindred spirits. The Komi-Permians, natives of the Perm region, pretend to be descendants of the ancient Chud people. Today it is customary to "remember the Chud" on “Semitskaya Saturday” – whereby people leave pancakes on the old cemetery with the words: "Remember, Lord, the Grandfather and Grandmother of Chud!"

The pristine beauty of the Perm region, that keeps the memory of legends from ancient times, creates a special atmosphere that awakens our imagination, makes the connection with the native power of the ancestors, with the energy of Myth and the power of Mother Earth. In the tourist part of the program we plan to show you:
