Number of participants: 27 male: 16 female: 11

Description: Springs are the main source of drinking water. The water from springs is stored in storage tanks and distributed using GI pipes to individual households. Winter months from Dec to Mar are the lean months when the discharge of springs reduces and consequently there is water scarcity.

Objectives:  Assess the status of drinking water sources  Assess the status of drinking water supply system  Identify main problems related to drinking water sources and supply system  Figure out appropriate solutions and activities

With whom: Mixed male and female group

Step 1: Assess current situation  Which are the 5 most important drinking water sources and what is their status?  Which are the important drinking water supply lines and what is their status? Is there leakage in the pipes or in the storage tanks?
