Weekly Weather Report for state and Diu, Daman Dadra Nagar Haveli for the week ending on 06.10.2021 MAIN FEATURES:- The withdrawal line of southwest monsoon passed through 28.5°N/ Long.72.5°E, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jalore, and Lat. 23°N/ Long.68°E ) on the 06th October, 2021. Monsoon was vigorous over Gujarat region and -Kutch during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 30th; during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 01st October. Extremely heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the of Saurashtra namely during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 30th September. Very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the district of region namely ; in the of Saurashtra namely , Junagadh, , , Dwarka & Gir Somnath during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 30th September. Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the district of Gujarat region namely Bharuch & Anand; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely , Jamnagar, , Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Dwarka Gir Somnath & Kutch during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 30th September; in the district of Dwarka during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 01st October, in Dang district of South Gujarat region during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 02nd October, in the districts of South Gujarat region namely and Bharuch during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 04th October. SYNOPTIC SITUATION: An east west trough from cyclonic circulation associated with the Well-Marked Low Pressure Area over south Gujarat region and adjoining to the cyclonic circulation associated with the other Well Marked Low Pressure Area over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood across Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level seen on 29th became less marked on 30th. A Well-Marked Low Pressure Area seen over Saurashtra & adjoining south Gujarat region with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to midtropospheric levels on 29th September moved nearly and lay centred at 1130 hrs IST of 30th September, over northeast Arabian Sea off Gujarat coast about 100 km west-northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat) 260 km south-southeast of Karachi (Pakistan) and 820 km east-southeast of Chabahar Port (Iran). It moved west-northwestwards, intensified into a Cyclonic Storm ‘Shaheen’ and lay centred at 0530 hrs IST of 01st October about 400 km westnorthwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), 260 km south-southwest of Karachi (Pakistan) and 530 km east-southeast of Chabahar Port (Iran), it moved west-northwestwards and lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of 1st October over central parts of north Arabian Sea about 440 km west-northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), about 490 km east-southeast of Chabahar Port (Iran) and 660 km east-southeast of Muscat (Oman), it moved westnorthwestwards and lay centred at 1430 hrs IST of 1st October over central parts of north Arabian Sea about 520 km westnorthwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), about 420 km eastsoutheast of Chabahar Port (Iran) and 590 km eastsoutheast of Muscat (Oman). The Cyclonic Storm ‘Shaheen’ over central parts of north Arabian Sea moved west-northwestwards intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm and lay centred at 1730 hrs IST of 01st October over northwest & adjoining northeast Arabian Sea about 570 km west- northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), 370 km east-southeast of Chabahar Port (Iran) and 540 km east-southeast of Muscat (Oman), moved west-northwestwards ,lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of 2nd October over northwest Arabian Sea about 740 km west-northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), 210 km east-southeast of Chabahar Port (Iran) and 370 km east-northeast of Muscat (Oman). It moved west-southwestwards, lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of 3rd October over Gulf of Oman & adjoining northwest Arabian Sea about 1050 km west-northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), 200 km west-southwest of Chabahar Port (Iran) and 90 km northeast of Muscat (Oman), lay centred at 0900 UTC of the 3rd October over gulf of Oman and adjoining northwest Arabian about 1120 km west-northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (42731), 270 km west-southwest of Chabahar port (40898) and 50 km north-northwest of Muscat (41278). The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Shaheen’ over north coastal Oman continued to move west-southwestwards, weakened into a Cyclonic Storm and lay centred at 0530 hrs IST of 4th October over north Oman and adjoining United Arab Emirates (UAE), about 160 km nearly west of Muscat (Oman). The Cyclonic Storm ‘Shaheen’ over north Oman and adjoining United Arab Emirates (UAE) continued to move west- southwestwards weakened into a Deep Depression and lay centred at 0830 hrs IST 4th October over north Oman and adjoining United Arab Emirates (UAE), about 200 km nearly to the west of Muscat (Oman). The Deep Depression (remnant of Cyclonic Storm ‘Shaheen’) over north Oman and adjoining United Arab Emirates (UAE) continued to move westsouthwestwards and weakened into a Depression and lay centred at 1130 hrs IST of 4th October over north Oman and adjoining United Arab Emirates (UAE), about 250 km westsouthwest of Muscat (Oman). It further became less marked over Oman region. A Western Disturbance lay as a trough roughly along Long. 71°E to the north of Lat. 32°N between 3.1 km & 4.5 km above mean sea level on 04th and 5th October, moved away on 6th October.
