PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
During above mentioned period I was doing/ involved in procedures/responsibilities, as mentioned:-
Attendance, diagnostic workup and Management of all outdoor and indoor paediatric patients.
Management of serious patients in emergency room and provision of Intensive care services in ITC and PICU settings including management of patients on artificial ventilation.
Handling of paediatric emergencies especially during natural calamities like Earthquacke and flood situations.
Establishment and maintenance of Neonatal health services including routine care,vaccination services and follow up monitoring.
Establishment of Neonatal Intensive CareUnits (NICU) at CMH Gujranwala and CMH Multan-a tertiary care referral hospital for peripheral military hospitals.These NICUS also have ventilator facilities,so providing services for even extremely low birth weight and premature babies.
Performance and supervised training of various practical paediatric procedures-liver biopsy,pleural aspiration,renal biopsy,subdural tap etc.
Establishment and running of EPI Programme centers,WHO collaborated IMCI, ARI,/DIARRHEA controle centers at all posting stations
Arranging,organizing and supervising curricular and co-curricular activities for undergraduate students at Army Medical College and postgraduate students at Armed Forces Postgraduate Medical Institute (AFPGMI) Rawalpindi.
Involvement in theory and practical examinations for undergraduates at university level.
Preparing and arranging TOACS,Theory andPractical examinations for postgraduate students at CPSP and AFPGMI.
Involvement in teaching and examinations of MPH students at AFPGMI. I have special interest in fields of paediatric gastroenterology and infectious diseases.
