Treatment of Companies Affected by US and EU sanctions in FTSE Russell Equity Indices - Further update

Further to the “Treatment of Companies Affected by US and EU sanctions in FTSE Equity Indices - Update” notification released on 23 August 2019 (notification), FTSE Russell announces that the following FTSE Russell index constituents are covered by US and EU sanctions:  Rosneft (Moscow listed, B59SS16) - FTSE Russia Large Cap Index  Rosneft (IOB listed, B17FSC2) - FTSE IOB Index and FTSE BRIC 50 Index (BRIC)  Sberbank (Moscow listed, 4767981) - FTSE Russia Large Cap Index  Sberbank (IOB listed, B5SC091) - FTSE IOB Index and BRIC  Transneft (Moscow listed, B59NHY7) - FTSE Russia Mid Cap Index  VTB Bank (Moscow listed, B5B1TP4) - FTSE Russia Large Cap Index  VTB Bank (IOB listed, B1W7FX3) - FTSE IOB Index

If applicable, reductions in the shares in issue, investability weight and deletions at index reviews will be reflected for the above securities. Further to the “Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC): Ukraine/Russia Related Sanctions - Update” notification released on 31 January 2019 (notification ), FTSE Russell confirms that until further notice, the following security continues to be excluded from FTSE Russell Indexes:

 GAZ Group (Moscow listed, B5BKBJ9)

Following the removal of sanctions effective from 28 January 2019 and in accordance with Section 2.3 of the FTSE Russell Index Policy in the Event Clients are Unable to Trade a Market the following securities were re-assessed for index eligibility for the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (GEIS) September 2020 semi-annual review:

 EN+ Group (Moscow Listed, BJ9NFD0) - did not meet FTSE GEIS index eligibility requirements.  EN+ Group (IOB Listed, BF4W6M0) - did not meet FTSE GEIS index eligibility requirements.  United Company RUSAL PLC (Hong Kong Listed, B5BCW81) - Nationality changed to Russia, hence United Company RUSAL PLC (Russia, BWH5885) will be added to FTSE Russell Russia Large Cap in conjunction with the September 2020 semi-annual review.  United Company RUSAL PLC (Moscow Listed, BWH5885) - added to FTSE Russell Russia Large Cap Index.
