Clemson $2 Bill Tradition
§ The tradition started in 1977 when Georgia Tech decided to cancel its football series with Clemson § The IPTAY Executive Secretary asked Tiger fans traveling to Atlanta to use $2 bills to show local businesses the impact that Clemson fans can have on the local economy § Today, many Clemson fans take $2 bills stamped with paw prints to away games

First Friday Parade
§ The First Friday Parade tradition began in 1974 § The parade occurs on the Friday before the first home football game § Community organizations, Clemson University departments, fraternities, sororities and other student organizations participate 35
Tigerama
§ Clemson’s Homecoming pep rally § Occurs on the eve of Clemson’s Homecoming game § Includes: student skits, the crowning of Homecoming Queen, float judging, music, and fireworks § The inaugural Tigerama took place in 1957

Clemson Alma Mater Salute
§ The tradition began during Clemson’s military days. During this time, cadets would wave their hats in the air during football games.
§ Students today wave their hands in the air with their thumbs folded underneath (as though holding a hat) at the conclusion of singing the alma mater. 37
