LINCOLN DIOCESAN GUILD – NORTHERN BRANCH

3 Bell Tower Tour Sat 26 TH Sept 2015

This tour visits six of ’s towers with just 3 bells. Some of the towers have regular ringing, at others the bells are only rung occasionally. The tour starts in Welton-le-Wold, west of Louth, where you can have a cup of tea or coffee on arrival. From there we take a circuitous route through the Lincolnshire countryside, ringing at Theddlethorpe -St -Helens, , , and finally to Old Clee () . In the middle of the day we enjoy a pub lunch in North Somercotes . Obviously the ringing will be limited, but we hope it will be an enjoyable day and may encourage more regular ringing at 3 bell towers. Also, it will give some Lincolnshire residents the pleasure of hearing their Church bells ring once and hopefully encourage a few to take up bellringing.

We hope you will join everyone for a pub lunch and the full menu is attached.

Please confirm if you will be joining the tour and what you would like to eat to Colin Disney by Sun 20 th Sept. Email to:- [email protected] OR text/phone to Colin on 07785774078. Also contact Colin if any details of the tour need clarifying.

Note :- access to Ludborough belfry involves a climb via a stone staircase and then a ladder going down a short distance.
