Introduction to Psychological Part II: The Relationship of Planets, Signs and Houses

“Jung’s advice is to ‘be what you have always been’, and this is the real path to inner integration and to relating with others. One of the greatest assets of the [astrology] chart with its interwoven patterns, especially if taken in conjunction with typology, is that it can provide a richer, more comprehensive picture of what one has always been – which is also what one can potentially be.” – Liz Greene

Astrology is an ancient study that began in Mesopotamia as mankind tried to understand the movement of the heavens and sought the reflection of their lives in the planetary cycles. This body of pre-scientific knowledge has continued to grow. We recognize that the movements of the planets are metaphors for life transitions. The symbolic nature of astrology lends itself to deep psychological reflection.

This introductory class builds upon the basic understanding of the mythology of planets and houses taught in Part I of “An Introduction to Psychological Astrology: The Mythology of the Planets”. The meaning of the planets, houses and will be reviewed. In addition this class will cover the angles of the chart and the qualities and elements of the signs. Aspects between the planets will be introduced.
