Delivers One of the Most Fan Requested Features to Windows with Groupy: Browser- Like Tabs for Windows Apps New 1.1 release now offers saved tab groups and integration with and

Plymouth, MI – March 6, 2018 – Today, Stardock released v1.1 for Groupy, a utility app that brings browser-like tabs to your Windows applications - from File Explorer, to Microsoft Office, and more. Groupy lets Windows® users group their desktop windows together in tabbed groups as easily as browsers group websites together.

Groupy works on , 8, and 10. Once installed, creating groups with the app is simple: users can drag a window to another window, where they will combine into a single window, with tabs showing in the title bar. To ungroup, users simply drag the tab off the group.

Create saved groups of apps and sort tabs by task or function easily. For example, open multiple web browsers, all in one set of tabs, or group chat clients or Office applications in a single easy-to-use window.

Once a group is created, users can quickly switch between different windows with a simple hot-key or by clicking on the tab. Groupy can also automatically add launched programs into an existing tab group. For example, a user who opens a new Explorer window or a new Office document can have that window instantly become a tab in an existing group.

"Groupy gives Windows users the experience they’ve wanted for many years,” said Angela Marshall, General Manager of Stardock . "With Groupy, your entire desktop works the same way that your web browser works. And because seeing is believing, we’re letting everyone try Groupy for free for a month.”

The Groupy trial is available through Stardock for 30 days and will let users explore the complete version of the app with all features included.

One of the biggest additions in v1.1 is the ability to save an existing group. Users can launch the group at a later time using the drop-down menu accessed by the ellipses on an already active group, or right from their Start menu. Groupy will remember whether the apps were previously grouped together and will launch a window with everything contained and ready to go. New support for Microsoft Office applications will also let users save groups associated with their active files.

Additionally, Groupy supports optionally enabling a “new tab button” for groups that will launch another instance of the current application. For example, a user could create a new instance of their graphics program or Word document with the simple click of a button.

Groupy is the feature that’s been lacking in the Windows experience. A free 30-day trial for the app is available through Stardock here and will show users what they’ve been missing out on.

Groupy is also available for purchase for $9.99 at www.stardock.com/products/groupy and is included in Stardock’s suite, which contains over a dozen more desktop enhancement software products. The suite is currently on sale for $29.99 and you can learn more at: www.objectdesktop.com.
