At Alphonsus Academy, academic excellence equals high school readiness. The school uses a strategic approach to prepare students to gain entry to and thrive at college preparatory high schools across the city.

The process includes a thorough and thoughtful curriculum plan for each level, a strategic set of curricular tools to execute the plan for all students, a system that allows flexibility to adjust the plan and tools for individual learning needs and styles, and a student culture of ownership.

These elements combined help students to value their education, resulting in well-prepared and intelligent young adults who are ready to take on challenging learning at ’s best public and private high schools.

Many of our soon-to-be graduates have been students at Alphonsus Academy since the start of their education. I firmly believe their achievements are the result of years of excellent education provided by our outstanding faculty.

We are also blessed to have the support our High School Specialist, Cathy Brennan, who provides guidance to students and families, as well as to have a strong Middle School Teaching Team who prepares our students so well for their futures.

Please join us in congratulating our 8th graders on their accomplishment. We ask that you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they make their final decisions about where to attend high school over the next few weeks.
