July 30, 2017 Bible Study Sessions: The Story of Salvation by Jeff Cavins

Pictures from above show parishioners from St. Ita, Thomas of Canterbury & Mary of the Lake (St. ITM) listen to Jeff Cavin’s DVD lecture. With God’s blessings, the Bible Study sessions are almost halfway through for a total 23 ses- sions. Online access is available to those who miss more than one session.

Here are some testimonials:

I. “I have really being enjoying the Bible Study classes. They have helped me to know how to read and interpret the Bible and have helped me understand how to incorporate His teachings into my life.” Carolyn Kryl

II. “I have found this bible study to be very important to me. I always wondered why there is such violence in the old testament. Through this Bible Study I am beginning to realize that God is a God of justice and Goodness. I am still working on it.” Margaret Furlong

III. “What I have taken away from the bible studies so far is that the Lord can and does use anyone or anything for his sovereign purposes. I was surprised that Rahab the harlot is included in the line of King and that King David committed murder and adultery. Also, King started worshipping other god(s) because of his attachment to pagan women. I can’t wrap my mind around the Majesty and mystery of God. I guess that’s why we need faith.” Larry T.

IV. “Reading the old testament makes me more aware of how events that happened thousands of years ago are still happening today. It provides me with more understanding and perspective of why events and things still happen. I am more aware of God’s infinite love for us. Even though I keep on failing God and falling into sin, I am confident that God will be patient, forgiving, merci- ful, and above all a loving towards to me.” Remedios Ryan

V. “The bible study class has really transformed and opened my view on what the bible really is, the history of our humanity and the true word of God to us. I have come to realize, especially in the Genesis Chapter where all things began, that God has warned us a long time ago of what will become of our world if we do not choose to walk with him. Studying and meditating on this chapter has deepened my knowledge of who God really is, a loving father who is still reaching out to us these days to save us and wants us to come home one day and unite with him. Oh how wonderful would that be to be in the presence of God! Please come join us next time, I promise you will fall more in love with the scriptures as I have.” Kokou Dagawa
