For more than 20 years, the Children’s Discovery Museum has been an integral part of helping children in learn through the power of play. And we couldn’t do it without you. Your contributions make learning possible by allowing us to expand our current programs and develop new exciting educational opportunities and events.

In 2017, more than 140,000 visitors walked through the doors of our beautiful campus in Uptown Normal. Field trips and summer camps, homeschoolers and after-schoolers, kids of all ages, and families too were able to play and learn, thanks to your support.

But the Children’s Discovery Museum’s walls don’t keep us contained. We happily create and attend events and take hands-on learning all over our community. Whether it’s the pushcart derby, afterschool, or museum in motion, the Children’s Discovery Musuem loves being out and about in the Bloomington- Normal area, and we are so grateful for the support we find there.

From engineers and doctors to mermaids and superheroes, childrens’ imaginations can take them anywhere.

At Children’s Discovery Museum, exhibits like Amazing Air teach aspiring engineers how to turn wind into electricity, while the Kid’s Medical Center allows future doctors to run their own practice. Each exhibit is created strategically to engage our young visitors in play that encourages learning. volunteer program highlights

The Children’s Discovery Museum couldn’t do what we do without the dedication and generosity of our countless volunteers. These champions of play and learning work with kids of all ages, leading free programming, assisting with classes both in and out of the museum and keeping our beautiful facility neat and tidy. 3rd Annual Medici Craft Beer and Jazz Fair Ladies Luncheon and Style Show Beautiful weather drew a record crowd to the Annual Medici Craft The Ladies Luncheon and Style Show was sold out with 300 guests Beer and Jazz Fair.
