I became Interim Church School Director, then Interim Director of Christian Formation—and in less than six months with the help of all members of the congrega- tion from young to old—we turned around the curriculum and classroom space from traditional curriculum and classrooms that were store- houses for all the cast-off but useable materials from around the church, to the Godly Play cur- riculum, and classroom spaces that looked right out of the pages of a Godly Play magazine. The children did amazingly well with the Godly Play curriculum, and I was given the freedom and flexibility to integrate other activities into our lessons. When a new Rector was hired, I stepped down per the provisions of my hire, and have lately been Director of Church School for a small congregational church in Trumbull, where
