In excess of €3,000 was donated through our SVP Annual Collection and the many individual donations that are still being received. These monies will support our work throughout the year. In addition there was a wonderfully generous response by our schools to the Christmas Food Appeal. The parents, students and teachers of Clonmoney National School, Ballycar National School, Scoil na Maighdine Mhuire, Newmarket-on-Fergus, St. Finnachta's National School, Sixmilebridge and Na Realtaí Beaga Pre-school, Kilmurry collected and do- nated enough food to make in excess of 90 very generous hampers which were distributed to homes in Six- milebridge and Newmarket- on- Fergus parishes. A special Thank You to the school staff for organising the Food Appeal in their schools at such a busy time of year. Similarly, at a time which is so expensive for fami- lies we were truly overwhelmed by the amount of food donated and the generosity of our school communities.
