SIRIUS Enhances 100% Commercial-Free Music And Talk Programming Lineup

Satellite Radio Broadcaster Launches Eight New Music Streams, Two New Comedy Streams and EWTN Catholic Radio in Two Languages, Plus Enhancements To Information and Talk Show Lineup

CES, LAS VEGAS & NEW YORK – January 7, 2004 – SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), known for delivering the very best in 100% commercial-free music and premium sports programming to cars and homes across the country, announced that it is launching new music, comedy, entertainment and information streams on January 19.

The new streams (not available from any other source):

SIRIUS Love // 3 serves listeners the music that says it all when words would otherwise get in the way. This stream focuses on soft pop music from four decades, featuring positive love songs from artists of every genre and every generation. Leave the breakups and heartache behind. It’s an ideal stream to set a romantic mood.

Classic Vinyl // 14 features early classic rock from the genre’s most formative years: the mid-‘60s to the late-‘70s. Tune in for The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Doors and more.

Classic Rewind // 15 plays the second generation of classic rock from the late-‘70s and on. Music from the likes of Boston, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, The Police, and Tom Petty rock all day and night.

Buzzsaw // 18: Nothing but hard and heavy classic rock from artists including AC/DC, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Rush, Ozzy Osbourne and Van Halen.

Faction // 28 delivers an extreme mix of hard rock, hip-hop, punk and more. Faction’s music and presentation is tailored for a young male audience disenfranchised by traditional radio outlets. Faction artists include Rage Against The Machine, 50 Cent, Rancid, Dr. Dre, System Of A Down, Busta Rhymes and Chemical Brothers.

Chill // 64 a unique combination of electronic-based music from artists such as Moby, Massive Attack and Groove Armada along with downtempo songs from Coldplay, Radiohead and Dido and more. Chill’s programming is customized for adults seeking a hip alternative to traditional background radio.

SIRIUS Pops // 86 plays classical music favorites that everyone can enjoy. Sirius Pops is the greatest hits of classical music. Listen for Boston Pops, Andrea Bocelli, James Horner, Sara Brightman, Cincinnati Pops, Pavarotti, John Williams, Yo-Yo Ma.

Tropical // 92 is a music experience dedicated to Caribbean dance rhythms, featuring artists from Marc Anthony and Celia Cruz to Tito Puente.

We now have more Classic Rock genres, a full-time “Chill”format, Caribbean rhythms and the unique stream "Faction" which is dedicated to younger males. Plus, SIRIUS is expanding its selection of news, talk and entertainment programming to appeal to more subscribers. All this in addition to play-by-play sports broadcasts from the NBA, NHL and NFL."

Among the news, talk, entertainment and information enhancements, SIRUS will add two new comedy streams that will keep listeners laughing all day:

Cracked Up Comedy // 146 presents hilarious programming for the entire family, from comedians including Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal, Monty Python, Steve Martin, and Bill Cosby.

Raw Dog // 147 is comedy uncensored, with comic relief from George Carlin, Margaret Cho, Cheech and Chong, Eddie Murphy, and Chris Rock and more.

In addition, earlier this month, SIRIUS added two new streams featuring 24/7 Catholic programming – one in Spanish, and one in English – both from EWTN, the largest religious media network in the world. Radio Catolica Mundial (stream 158) and EWTN Global Catholic Network (stream 160) offers listeners live call-in talk shows, informative teaching series, daily devotions, church events, and musical presentations in Spanish, and English, respectively.

SIRIUS is also enhancing programming for truckers and road warriors. The SIRIUS Trucking Network will add call-in talk programming during the daytime hours, allowing members of the trucking and traveling community to interact. Also, the three regional Weather Channel streams will be enhanced with more frequent updates and storm alerts. SIRIUS OutQ, the nation’s first and only fulltime gay and lesbian radio station, is expanding three of its talk shows from three hours to four hours per day and is adding an overnight music show.

Music from former SIRIUS stream Planet Rhyme will now be found on Wax; House Party on Hip-Hop Nation; Chamber Works on Symphony Hall, and Soundscapes and Vortex on Chill. Programming on SIRIUS Sessions can now be found on the genre- appropriate music streams. Fans of Radio Mujer, Radio Amigo, SIRIUS Entertainment and A&E Satellite Radio can find their favorite programming on other new and existing Entertainment steams including PRI (Public Radio International), La Red Hispana and Sirius Talk Central.
