Air Access

Belgrade International Airport represents the main gate to Serbia.

There are 26 airline carriers operating in Belgrade, comprising 19 international carriers, 6 low cost carriers and 1 national carrier. Belgrade has a direct flight connection from 53 major European ports and cities. There are around 350 flights, offering 35,000 seats, coming in and out of Belgrade every week.

The new international airport passenger terminal, “Nikola Tesla” airport in Belgrade recently opened and has had a major positive impact on Serbia’s image and its standing as a world class visitor destination. The capital city, Belgrade, has regular and direct rail connections with capital cities in Central and Eastern Europe. International passenger trains include a regular day and night train, the ‘Avala’, that goes from Belgrade to Budapest, and Vienna.

Location - To/from Crowne Plaza

Belgrade is a compact city, easy to navigate on foot and using the network of public transport services for the convenience of both visitors and residents alike.

Crowne Plaza is conveniently located in the part of the city called New Belgrade and therefore has great connection with all parts of the city and especially with city center.

Crown Plaza is connected to the Sava Centar, creating a very attractive facility package for meeting planners and delegates just 10 minutes from the Belgrade Airport. Beside Crowne plaza 415 rooms currently there are a total of over 1,000 additional 5*,4* and 3* rooms within walking distance of this complex and this number will grow in the future due to new developments.

Gala Dinner – Option A The Royal Palace

The Royal Palace in Dedinje was built during the period from 1924-1929 by order of King Aleksandar I as the offial royal residence. It was designed by the architect Živojin Nikolic and the academician Nikolaj Krasnov from the Royal Academy. Today it is the home of the heir to the throne, Aleksandar II and his family.

It is a large impressive villa of white stone in the Serbian-Byzantine style. The Palace is surrounded by pergolas, terraced gardens, fishponds, a pavilion and a bandstand. A superb view of Dedinje, the Košutnjak woods, Topcider and Avala stretches out from the crest of the hill where the Palace stands.

The building of the White Palace, which is part of the Royal Palace complex, was built to the wishes of King Aleksandar I as a residence for his sons. It was built from 1934 to 1937 to a design by the architect Aleksandar Dordevic. The ground floor of this Classical building contains a Ceremonial Hall and a suite of Drawing rooms decorated in Louis XV and XVI style with Venetian chandeliers. It also contains the Palace Library, which used to contain 35,000 books, and the Ceremonial Dining Room furnished in Chippendale style.
