On January 30, 1996, Arkansas Western Gas Company (AWG) filed an application with the Arkansas Public Service Commission requesting a general modification in rates.

AWG is asking for an overall increase or decrease in rates of 9.66% from it's customers. Based upon it's application, AWG proposes to recover the increase or decrease from various classes of customers as illustrated in the following summary of the present and proposed revenues by rate class:
