Kaleidos Duo's most recent recording (Music From the Balkans, Centaur, CRC 3208) was received as "an immensely enjoyable and rewarding release, and one that comes with the highest recommendation” (Dubins, Fanfare, 2012). Recent performances have been described as “fascinatingly eclectic and intuitive” (Lucid Culture, NY, 2011) and “transport[ing] the audience to a plane of pure musical expression without a single remnant of technical or artistic doubt” (Duma, Bulgaria, 2011). In New York City, the duo has performed at the Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall, the “Bulgarian Concert Evenings in New York” series at the Bulgarian Consulate, and the Bechstein Center Hall. They have appeared in multiple performances at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, University of Kentucky in Lexington, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Southern Louisiana University in Hammond, and the Southwest Virginia Community College. They were one of the featured performers at the International Violin Festival, held at the Conservatory of Music in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Europe, Kaleidos Duo was heard at the “Sofia Music Weeks” series in Sofia and “Balabanov’s House Music Days” series in Plovdiv, both in Bulgaria. In addition, they appeared at the Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv, Library “Zahari Knyazheski” in Stara Zagora (Bulgaria), the Concert Hall of the Opera House in Tirana (Albania), and in a tour of Serbian cities, Novi Sad and Nis, organized by their respective Cultural Ministries. Kaleidos Duo presents themed recitals of standard repertoire and rarely heard works. In addition, they perform virtuosic solo literature for violin and piano with orchestral accompaniment. Their recordings are broadcasted on various radio stations across North America and on Bulgarian National Radio.

Miroslav Hristov tours internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. A laureate of numerous competitions, including the International Violin Competition “Dobrin Petkov” in Bulgaria and MTNA in the U.S., he has presented master classes and performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra leader throughout the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Serbia, and Albania, as well as his native Bulgaria. He has also served on the faculty of the University of Nuevo Leon in Mexico and is currently a violin professor at the University of Tennessee School of Music. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has recorded for Centaur Records, Bulgarian National Radio, and WUOT in Knoxville.

Vladimir Valjarević studied at Conservatoire Supérieure de Genève as a Fulbright Scholar, Mannes College of Music, Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and Belgrade Conservatory. Piano instructors include Pavlina Dokovska, Pascal Devoyon, Susan Starr, and Planinka Jurisic-Atic. He has performed in Europe, America, and the Far East, and has recorded for Labor Records, Centaur Records, and MSR Classics. He is on the piano faculty at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, Mannes College Preparatory and Extension Divisions, and the piano pedagogy faculty at Mannes College. At Rutgers, he teaches piano, piano pedagogy, and piano literature, and, in the summers, he is on the piano faculty at Beijing International Music Festival and Academy in China and the Pianophoria! Festival in New York City.
