2005 COPE VOTING RECORD SEVENTY-SEVENTH WV LEGISLATURE 2005 STATE SENATE RECORD VOTES HB 2780, Race Track Video Lottery, Pension Plan for Employees: increased from ½ percent to one percent the amount of racetrack video lottery net terminal income to be used for payment into the pension plan for and on behalf of all employees of the Licensed Racing Associations. The money comes from the licensee (Race Tracks’) percentage of their net terminal income. The bill affects over 4,600 employees. The Senate amended HB 2780 to delete language pertaining to the State’s four Licensed Racetracks renewing their video lottery license and an agreement, signed by certain representatives to be presented to the lottery commission as evidence to the existence of the said agreement. Signatures required for the agreement include a Union representative from all four licensed racetracks representing the pari-mutuel clerks. The House amended the bill back to its original state and sent it back to the Senate for its final vote. 87 Yeas – 11 nays – 2 absent. Yea vote is Right.
