The City of Lynwood has always had a vibrant business community. It started with The Lynwood Company, which sold land to future residents.

Western Gear started in Lynwood in the 1940’s. It moved in the 1980’s when the company was sold. The 105 Freeway now stands at the company’s former location.

Do you remember Howard Murray Fine Clothes on Long Beach Boulevard? If you lived in Lynwood in the 1950s, you couldn’t miss the enormous well- dressed man on the sign. It’s now the location of the DaVita Dialysis Center. La ciudad de Lynwood siempre ha tenido una comunidad empresarial vibrante.
