CSG International Puts Spotlight on Retail & Wholesale Billing for Revenue Growth at AfricaCom 2012

CAPE TOWN, South and ENGLEWOOD, Colo. USA (11/5/2012)

CSG Systems International, Inc., (NASDAQ: CSGS) CSG International (NASDAQ: CSGS), a global provider of software- and services-based business support solutions that help clients generate revenue and maximize customer relationships, today announced its participation at AfricaCom 2012, taking place from 13 to 15 November in Cape Town, South Africa. Delegates are encouraged to meet with CSG’s regional team at stand number P33.

At this year’s AfricaCom, CSG will spotlight its market leading Wholesale Business Management Solutions (WBMS), recently reinforced by the acquisition of Swedish routing and revenue assurance specialist, Ascade. Ascade is CSG’s most recent acquisition since 2011 when CSG also acquired Intec Telecom Systems, whose operations are now fully integrated into those of CSG.

“CSG is committed to supporting our many African customers and we have invested significantly to offer operators the most complete retail billing and wholesale revenue management solutions available, in a highly user-friendly package,”said John Rainger, CSG’s vice president in EMEA. “CSG allows African operators to largely automate their wholesale business function, whilst making significant steps towards total optimization in terms of call delivery cost, call quality, projected margin and other critical factors.”

At this year’s event, CSG will demonstrate its new WBMS platform, also available as a cloud-based managed service. By visiting the CSG stand, delegates will have the opportunity to witness how they can maximize:

● Retail revenue growth, by meeting and exceeding customer expectations, increasing average subscriber revenue and numbers of call-back minutes. ● Wholesale revenue growth, by attracting more traffic from quality-aware carriers. ● Cost reduction for outbound international traffic by identifying offers and routes with the highest quality/cost ratios. ● Revenue protection for inbound international traffic by detecting and eliminating bypass (SIM Box) fraud, through advanced, proven detection tools and the world’s biggest outbound carrier global test network.

CSG’s cloud-based managed service allows operators to outsource their wholesale revenue management. Some of the advantages to operators of considering CSG’s WBMS managed service option include reducing the load on their own operations teams and spreading costs over time, whilst gaining access to a highly elastic and responsive resource. Operators can choose whether to outsource to CSG’s expert team all of their business, platform, application and infrastructure operations or whether to keep certain aspects in house. CSG’s managed service option can be particularly attractive to operators looking at replacing or upgrading their current software, those struggling to bill on existing solutions for new services and those finding skilled resources hard to locate and retain.

CSG serves its African customers from a sales and support operation in Cape Town as well as through the company’s EMEA headquarters based in Woking, UK, and from offices in the United States of America and around the world. This local and global network offers access to the company at all times.

According to the event organizers, now in its 15th year, AfricaCom is embracing all aspects of the converging telecoms, media & ICT sectors to deliver the most inspiring, exciting and thought-provoking event yet. With 200+ speakers and over 125 scheduled hours of value-packed content, and newly extended to three days, AfricaCom offers something for everyone: visionary keynotes, specialized streams, interactive panel discussions, workshops, demos, networking opportunities and more.
