October 20, 2020 Lausanne, Switzerland ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Calendar season 2021/22 At its last meeting on October 16, 2020 the Council approved the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Calendar for the season 2021/22 as follows: - August 18-21, 2021 Courchevel / FRA - August 25-28, 2021 Edmonton / CAN (including Pair Skating) - September 1-4, 2021 Kosice / SVK (including Pair Skating) - September 15-18, 2021 Krasnoyarsk / RUS (including Pair Skating) - September 22-25, 2021 Ljubljana / SLO - September 29 - October 2, 2021 Gdansk / POL - October 6-9, 2021 Linz / AUT (including Pair Skating) The 2020/21 edition of the Series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series The ISU Junior Grand Prix Figure Skating Series started in 1997. It includes seven events and the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. The Series features some of the up and coming Skaters of the world and provides young skaters aged 13 to 19 (21 for the male Ice Dance and Pair Skating partners) with the opportunity to compete at a high international level. A points system based on the ranking has been established to determine the qualifiers for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Points are obtained according to the results in each of the seven events and only the top six Skaters / Couples in each discipline can qualify for the Final. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating is financed by the ISU Development Program. Since 2011 all events of the Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series are live streamed on the official ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating YouTube Channel . -

2021 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships January 11-21, 2021 Las Vegas | The Orleans Arena Media Information and Story Ideas The U.S. Figure Skating Championships, held annually since 1914, is the nation’s most prestigious figure skating event. The competition crowns U.S. champions in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dance at the senior and junior levels. The 2021 U.S. Championships will serve as the final qualifying event prior to selecting and announcing the U.S. World Figure Skating Team that will represent Team USA at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm. The marquee event was relocated from San Jose, California, to Las Vegas late in the fall due to COVID-19 considerations. San Jose meanwhile was awarded the 2023 Toyota U.S. Championships, marking the fourth time that the city will host the event. Competition and practice for the junior and Championship competitions will be held at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The event will take place in a bubble format with no spectators. Las Vegas, Nevada This is the first time the U.S. Championships will be held in Las Vegas. The entertainment capital of the world most recently hosted 2020 Guaranteed Rate Skate America and 2019 Skate America presented by American Cruise Lines. The Orleans Arena The Orleans Arena is one of the nation’s leading mid-size arenas. It is located at The Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World Team Tennis since 2019, and plays host to concerts, sporting events and NCAA Tournaments. -

December 4, 2018 Lausanne, Switzerland Top skaters take center stage in Vancouver ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final Preview Following six weeks of exciting competition, the top six Men, Ladies, Pairs and Ice Dance couples of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2018/19 will take center stage at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Vancouver (CAN) this week. A total of 36 skaters/couples from nine ISU members have qualified during the six events of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series – Skate America in Everett, WA, Skate Canada in Laval, QC, Grand Prix Helsinki (FIN), NHK Trophy in Hiroshima (JPN), Rostelecom Cup in Moscow (RUS) and Internationaux de France in Grenoble. Overview of the competitors Reigning World Champion Nathan Chen (USA) and World silver medalist Shoma Uno (JPN) lead the list of qualifiers in the Men’s after striking gold in their two Grand Prix events. Chen is also the defending ISU Grand Prix Final Champion and Uno the defending silver medalist. Chen scored a season’s best of 280.57 points at Skate America while Uno posted a season’s best of 277.25 points at Skate Canada. Michal Brezina (CZE), who picked up two silver medals on the circuit, returns to the Final for the first time since 2011 (SBt 257.98). Sergei Voronov (RUS) will compete in his third Final (SB 254.28 points). The two newcomers this season are Junhwan Cha (KOR), who is also the first Korean male skater to qualify for the (senior) Grand Prix Final (SB 259.78 points) and Keegan Messing (CAN/SB 265.17 points) who replaces Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN).
