Connecting with CPD

Thank you to all the seniors who have completed the Ursinus Outcomes Survey. While this is likely a sensitive subject at this time, each year we are charged with the very important task of collecting information regarding the post-graduation endeavors of the senior class. It is more important than ever for us to have this information during these difficult times. Your input will help us shape how we CPD can support your class going forward, as we provide services to alumni. In addition, it helps Ursinus assess how we are preparing students for the future. We realize that your plans may be uncertain and are likely to change, but any information you can provide will help. If you who have not yet completed the survey, please check your Ursinus email, as you each have received an individual link to the survey. Midnight Brink

Career advisors are available to help you all summer long, starting May 18, 2020. Please email the career office with your questions and a career advisor will get back to you as quickly as possible, no later than the next business day. We look forward to working with you, The CPD Team. Seniors - See the third page below for special events for the class of 2020 beginning Tuesday, May 19!

Stay connected to Ursinus – Update your email address Unofficial transcripts for graduates. Available on the Grizzly Gateway in Self-Service for Students. View instructions. An active email address is required for continued access to your unofficial transcript. Be sure to update your personal email address before you graduate. Updating this address will also provide a way for you to have access to CPD Resources.

Feel Productive, Stay Motivated, Make Progress

Congratulations to our senior CPD peer associate, Katie Hudick, who is graduating with a degree in Psychology and a minor in History. Katie has been part of the CPD team for four years and we will miss her very much!

Thank you Katie for your amazing support of our office and to the students.

Mia Correll From the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) the April Quick Poll of employers found, “61% of employers plan to recruit the Class of 2021 at the same level as the Class of 2020. An additional 16% are still undecided.”

Alumni Words of Advice to our Graduating Seniors First of all, congratulations! You are closing a pivotal and important chapter of your lives and should be proud of your work and accomplishments. Your college journey is coming to an end in an unconventional way, and you’re probably feeling a large range of emotions. Post College is when you truly “leave the nest” and start to become your own person. At Ursinus you spend four years in a happy bubble surrounded by loving friends and professors. It’s an amazing period for growth, community and experimentation, but can leave you feeling uncertain of yourself upon transitioning into the adult world. This time is difficult, but you have a unique opportunity to take advantage of it by molding yourself, creating good habits, and, of course, celebrating your accomplishments! Acknowledge your hard work and dedication and hold on tight to your passions and desires. I wish all of you the best of luck and remember that your Ursinus community will always be here to support and guide you! - Gabby Lomanto '18
