Learning to shape the future Headteacher: Mrs P Dixon BA(Hons), NPQH

Dear Parent/Carer

Further to my last email, I’m writing to inform you of some updates regarding the ordering of school uniform. Our school supplier Uniformity have been in touch to say that they have made the decision not open their retail outlet this side of September. They have decided this on the back of the Government’s announcement of their new Track & Trace initiative. Under the guidelines, should any member of staff contract the virus or come into contact with a customer who has the virus they will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days. This could ultimately close down the business for several weeks and this would be a major issue during August, with the online supply also under the possibility of closure.

Parents/Carers would not have been allowed to try garments on their children should they have reopened. Therefore in the interests of preserving a constant supply of uniform to parents in readiness for the school reopening, they have taken what they believe to be the most pragmatic and sensible approach for us all.

This does mean that the only option is through their online ordering system so they have made a few alterations to their service to help with the situation:-

1. Shortly they will be introducing a new “click and collect” service. This will be very similar to the current system of ordering online and choosing the option to collect from the shop. You will receive an email to say they have received your order and a further email to say when it is ready to collect and how to go about this. Please remember you cannot collect your order without the four digit order number/Invoice number.

2. All deliveries in the local area, Wirral and will be made by their own delivery drivers and as such they will be operating a collection service for returns. Please note any new sizes required need to be ordered online as before and when the driver delivers they will collect the returns then. If you miss the driver you will need to ring the office to reorganise a collection. The drivers are under strict instruction not to take any returns which are not in a sealed bag and without a returns note. Once Uniformity receive these back they are quarantined for 72 hours and then unpacked and a credit is then given. All orders that go out contain a returns note and this must be sent with the return. The returns note and policy can be found online.

3. All orders over £75 are now delivered free of charge.

4. The on line option is of course workable for most people with credit/debit cards. However they are fully aware that this is not the case for some. Therefore if anyone needs to pay with cash they will need to ring the shop to place a telephone order . You will then receive a call to say when the order is ready to collect . Payment can then be made when you collect.

Anyone wishing to purchase a badge or braid to sew onto a blazer they have purchased from elsewhere, will also be able to do this through Uniformity rather than through the school. They will make this service availalble online within the next few days.

Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times.

With best wishes

Mrs Sharon Hitchen Deputy Headteacher
