WUBE-FM , OHIO BIOGRAPHY Big Dave, Chelsie and Statt have been friends and co-workers for over 20 years. Dave moved to Cincinnati from Nashville in 1998 and began working for WYGY. Chelsie was already working for B-105 as Traffic Reporter. Statt began working as an intern for B-105 later that year. Chelsie remained an important part of B105 Mornings through numerous shows while Statt was a part of several as well as a producer and contributor to the shows. Dave came onboard at B105 as the 7:00 to Midnight host in 2005. Soon, Dave was moved to the Afternoon Drive shift and in 2010 welcomed in Chelsie as a co-host of the show. Together they were consistently one of the top-rated shows on the station and in the market.

In 2014 they were asked to take over the morning show on B-105 and the Big Dave Show was born! Having been friends for so long, the chemistry and the overwhelmingly positive response from Cincinnati listeners was almost immediate. In March of 2019, a fourth person was added to the show when Ashley joined the team! Their slogan is “Good Country Fun” and that’s exactly what you get when you listen to their show! Big Dave was born in Jackson, Tn. When he was 4, his family moved to Murfreesboro and that’s where he officially grew up (or got older, he’s never officially “grown up”). Dave graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Radio/Television degree and has never looked back. He started his Radio career at WMTS-AM in Murfreesboro but soon Nashville called him up.

His first FM job was doing everything from sales to promotions to on-air for WRLT Radio Lightning. He then went to work for 103 WKDF and before long found himself co-hosting the Big Dave & The Dook Morning Show.

In 1998 he moved to Cincinnati to do the morning show on WYGY. In 2005 he was brought on at B-105 to do the 7:00 - Midnight Show. He was promoted to Afternoon Drive in 2008 and began hosting the Big Dave Morning Show in 2014. He lives in Ft. Mitchell, Ky. with his wife, Carri, and their children, Darah and Darren. One of his favorite things to do is build the sets for the musicals at this children’s school.

Dave is a proud member of the CMA, has a mild Diet Dew addiction and has been known to eat mayonnaise sandwiches in the middle of the night! Chelsie was born in Lawrenceburg, IN. She grew up “out in the country” in Manchester, IN. She started at B-105 as an intern in 1994. That internship turned into a real paying job as the Assistant Promotions Director and on-air work on the weekends. From that she moved to overnights and after a couple years of living like a vampire she started doing airborne traffic. That led to a short stint on WLWT-TV also doing traffic.

She then left B-105 and went to work for a smaller station in Indiana where she became Program Director for a year before coming back to B-105.

In 2010 she joined Big Dave in the afternoons and then moved to mornings with the Big Dave Show in 2014.

Chelsie lives in Burlington, KY with her husband Brad and two children Reese and Rory. She has four dogs, two cats, two ferrets, one bird and is pretty close to having her own zoo!

She is a proud member of the CMA and has an almost unhealthy knowledge of all things Pop Culture. Jason Statt was born in Cincinnati, and while his on-air personality is certainly silly and fun, he also has a kindhearted and gentle side. His love for life, his family and co-workers is contagious on and off the air. Statt has worked for only one radio station in his career and that would be B-105. He’s been at the station for almost 18 years!

Married to Kaila, Statt has two beautiful young daughters, Stacey and Jane, who keep him busy when he gets home from work. As an ordained minister, Statt gets to tie the knot for friends and listeners on occasion, and his tireless energy keeps him going at every station event.

Above all else, Statt is a great father to his daughters. He always finds new ways to entertain them and often invents new games to play that he loves to share with listeners. He loves to share his love of reading with kids and during the last few months has been doing Storytime with Statt on Facebook every afternoon.

He is a proud member of the CMA and spends the majority of his paychecks on mustache wax and parts for his Triumph Spitfire. Ashley starting working for B-105 shortly after graduating from Northern University. After working for a short time for , she found her way to Radio. After a year or working on-air part time and helping with promotions, Ashley took a fulltime position as a Sales Assistant. Her outgoing personality and quick wit was noticed by everyone and when it came time to add another member to the Big Dave Show, Ashley was a natural fit.

She joined the show in March of 2019 and quickly became beloved by the B-105 audience. Everything from her Out with Ashley segments, to her twentysomething love life problems, to her gigantic love of chicken wings and Morgan Wallen, Ashley always has something fun to say. Just ask Morgan Wallen, he found this out when Ashley asked to smell his mullet during a Q & A before a concert one evening.

Ashley is a pending CMA member (fingers crossed!) and in her spare time, likes to find signs with country song lyrics to hang in her She-Shed. The latest being from Miranda Lambert’s “Bluebird”. IN THE COMMUNITY… The Big Dave Show is extremely active in the Greater Cincinnati Community. It’s their belief that it’s their job to give back and to help out in anyway possible. 1000 FLAG FRIDAY WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S ADDITIONAL INFO… Every year we pick a superstar to appear on our Christmas card. We then send one out to everyone who won a prize on our show during the previous year. Some of our past cards included; Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Eric Church.

This past year, we decided to include Old Dominion in on the fun for our Christmas Card. The end result? Very cool!

A lot of listeners say they try to win prizes from us just to be assured of getting a card in the mail at Christmas!

A few from the past….. Good Country Fun with the Big Dave Show!

During the unprecedented last few months, we realized quickly that we needed to do something extra for all our listeners who were stuck at home. First, we decided to talk to as many Country stars on the show as we could. It was nice to find out how they were doing as we all went through some really strange times together. We checked in with Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt, Kane Brown, Dave Haywood, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, Dustin Lynch, Morgan Wallen and, of course, our hometown girl, Carly Pearce!

We also began doing a post radio show feature called “Show and Tell” where, even though, we were broadcasting separately, we were together with listeners live on Facebook. We also had special guests from time to time, including Carly Pearce and the world’s most famous hippo, Fiona from the Cincinnati Zoo! They were so popular that we’re continuing them as a regular part of our and our listener’s lives. Peeps in mouth world record! GOOD COUNTRY FUN! These are the three words that best sum up The Big Dave Show on B105. No matter when you tune in, you’re sure to hear three great friends having a great time together! And, since we have children that are roughly same age, we like to keep it clean. We know that “little ears” are always listening. So our general rule of thumb is this, if we wouldn’t say it in front of our kids, we’re not going to say it in front of listener’s kids either.

We also love to support our community and our country. During the pandemic we did features that not only highlighted front-line workers and essential workers, but also the graduates of the Class of 2020. We called these “Gettin’ the Job Done” and “Gettin’ the Grads Done”. Each day we’d recognize people in our lives and open the phones so listeners could give a shout out as well.

Also, everyday we produce and record “The Dirt” to run throughout the day on B105. The Dirt is a 45 second piece with the hottest stars in Country Music talking about what’s going on in their lives. It’s just another way for our audience to get to know the artists they hear on B105!

Thank you for considering us for this prestigious award!
