Air Force Blue

Air Force Blue was Europe’s Champion 2YO after winning three consecutive Gr.1 races. He is by War Front who sired more than 6 per cent GSWs on his way to becoming the U.S.’s highest-priced stallion in 2019 and 2020. Although Air Force Blue made his name on turf, both his parents and both his grandsires did all their winning on dirt. His second dam, Circle of Gold, is a sister to Flanders, American champion 2YO filly & Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner.

Air Force Blue has none of the SEATTLE SLEW blood which helped Flanders produce multiple Gr.1 winner Surfside. War Front has Gr.1 or Gr.2 winners from mares by A.P. INDY, PULPIT and TAPIT, achieving 18% SWs with daughters of PULPIT and 20% with daughters of TAPIT.

War Front has Gr.1 winners with two lines to DANZIG, including War Flag, Hit It A Bomb (Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf) and Brave Anna.

MR PROSPECTOR has combined extremely well with the Danzig male line. War Front has Gr.1 winners out of mares by FORTY NINER, MISWAKI, SMART STRIKE, WOODMAN and SEEKING THE GOLD. War Front has five SWs from his first 31 foals out of UNBRIDLED’S SONG mares (16%).

War Front has 20% SWs with SADLER’S WELLS mares, including Preakness S. winner War of Will and two Gr.1 2YO winners. He also has three Gr.1 winners out of daughters of GALILEO, including Champion 2YO U S Navy Flag.

At least eight other grandsons of Danzig have sired Gr.1 winners from STORM CAT line mares, including from daughters of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, HENNESSY, TALE OF THE CAT, FOREST WILDCAT and SHAMARDAL.

War Front has Graded winners from mares by two BLUSHING GROOM line stallions, including the top-class Declaration of War from a RAHY mare.

The ROBERTO male line should also suit well, as War Front has GSWs from daughters of DYNAFORMER, RED RANSOM and ARCH, a son of KRIS S. He also has Gr.1 and Gr.2 winners with second dams by SILVER HAWK.
