'\! MURDER VICTIM witho~~rqC IN SAN ANTONIO pho~ographa:'-""'Jr."-~" SAN ANTONIO - Homicide has been ruled in the bludgeoning death of Thomas L. Fancher, 40, whose nude body was found by his bed in his home at 205 Howard St., March 31. Fancher died from internal injuries he received when an assailant struck his chest and abdomen with a heavy, blunt object, the medical examiner said. Fancher had been dead at least twelve hours before his body was dis- covered by a friend, who, after being unable to reach Fancher by telephone, journeyed to his apartment, where he found the door ajar and Fancher's car gone. The victim suffered at least one broken rib plus a torn liver and spleen, TWT NEWS learned from Lt. Jack Summey of Homicide. "The apartment was in order and showed no evidence of being ransacked or burglarized," he added. "There were no apparent signs of violence, but Fancher's car was miss- ing," he stated. TWT NEWS has learned from San An- tonio police that the stolen car is a blue and white, 2-door, 1969 Dodge with license plate number XAH-55. Homicide officer Sanchez has re- quested the help of the gay commun- ity in solving this needless crime. "Fan- cher was last seen Tuesday, March 30, between 11:OOpmand 11:30pm, in a gay

Gary's success as the first, qualified gay activist to seek public office is your success. A recent public opinion survey of Republican voters shows that 77 percent remain undecided. That means with hard work, Gary Van Ooteghem can win the Republican nomination for County Treasurer. THE GAY DAY It knew I was out until three in the morning ... it also knew my hangover was terminal. I could swear its relentless buzzing was getting louder by the second, like the supercharged vibrator that had chased me through my dreams. After being held captive for a few minutes, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Never let it be said that strangling an alarm is easy. Pulling up the window shade, the room was flooded with glorious sun- shine and my mind was filled with positive thoughts. This wasn't going to be such a bad day after all! Then the shade came crashing down with the flutter of a thousand fairies in flight. Be- ing the eternal optimist, I passed that off as mere coincidence and headed to
