13 OmniMetrix Hero 2 Monitor Installation Alternate Interruption Wiring Methods for Mercury Relay ▪ For Drill In Stud: Remove the Negative (or Positive) Pipe wire from the Negative (or Positive) Output stud. Connect the removed wire to the drill in stud along with one of the Cathodic Protection Interrupter wires. Connect the other Cathodic Protection Interrupter wire to the Negative (or Positive) Output stud of the Rectifier

▪ Using Copper Compression Clamp Remove the Negative (or Positive) Pipe wire from the Negative (or Positive) Output stud and use a copper compression clamp to attach with one of the Cathodic Protection Interrupter wires. Attach the other Cathodic Protection Interrupter wire on the Negative (or Positive) Output stud. Wrap the clamp with electrical tape.

▪ Interrupt the taps (2 piece rectifier): Remove one of the shorting bars between the top and bottom portions of the rectifier, Attach (1) Cathodic Protection Interrupter wire to each location in place of the shorting bar.

▪ Interrupt the taps (1 piece ): Remove the shorting tap bar from the coarse tap. Attach one Cathodic Protection Interrupter wire to the coarse common position and one Cathodic Protection Interrupter wire to the coarse tap setting previously occupied by the shorting tap bar.
