2018 GN Small Booklet SOTS_pb.indd 1 2/8/2018 9:09:47 AM Thank you, SBISD Good Neighbors!

In the second year of our strategic plan, The Learner’s Journey, we have much for which to be proud. Our plan builds on one of SBISD’s strongest assets – YOU, our supportive community. It sustains our commitment to Spring Branch T-2-4, our goal to ensure every child is prepared for and has access to a technical certifi cation, military training, a 2-year or a 4-year degree, and is undergirded by our Core Values.

We have seen our partners join us in our work as we ask ourselves: What are our alumni doing after graduation? How academically prepared is Every Child? How much progress is Every Child making? And how is Every Child doing beyond the classroom? These are the questions that guide our work.

We are proud to recognize a record-breaking number of Class of 2017 Good Neighbors this year. The collective greatness of your support speaks to the power of our community. Together, we are expanding the limitless curiosity of our students, supporting the collaborative spirit of our staff, and guiding the moral compass of the next generation. You are the programs, people, places and partners who help enrich the journey for our students, staff and families.

Thank you for your belief in Every Child and for your continued commitment to Spring Branch ISD. I ask you to continue your support, as we cannot do this work alone. Every day, our partners are part of the stories of success we see across SBISD. Yet, there is much work still to do. Join us on our journey! Be an advocate, be a champion, be a partner, be a volunteer – be a part of the story!

With my respect and appreciation,

Dr. Scott R. Muri Superintendent of Schools

2018 GN Small Booklet SOTS_pb.indd 10 2/8/2018 9:09:54 AM Since 2006, the SBISD Good Neighbor program has recognized, celebrated and encouraged strategic support of SBISD.

What began as 55 inaugural Good Neighbors has now grown to over 280 corporations, non-profi ts, government entities, faith-based organizations, local businesses, educational organizations and individuals whose community engagement efforts strengthen and unify the SBISD community, promote civic pride and encourage attainment of the district’s T-2-4 goal for EVERY CHILD.

SBISD Good Neighbors:

• BELIEVE our schools and our communities are inextricably linked, with each dependent on the success of the other • COMMIT to accomplishing three or more strategic activities in a school year to support the district, a campus, our teachers, our students or the Spring Branch Education Foundation • SREAD the good word about why the work you do as a Good Neighbor is so important and critical to the success of Every Child in SBISD • REAP the rewards of your contribution to the betterment of our youth, our community, our schools and our future.
