How to get there – from the airport:
The nearest airport is Schiphol (Amsterdam) Airport.
From the airport there are direct trains to Leiden approx. every 10 minutes. You can take any train in the direction of Den Haag, Rotterdam or Breda, except the high speed trains (Thalys and Fyra). The type of train is indicated on the signs.
In normal circumstances all trains to Leiden leave from platform 5-6.
The travel time is around 20 minutes.
Tickets can be bought from the yellow vending machines.

How to get there – from Belgium/Paris by high speed train (Thalys, Fyra):
If you are coming by high speed train coming from the direction of Brussels, you should get out in Den Haag HS. From Den Haag there are regular trains to Leiden. You are advised to take an “intercity” or “sneltrein”, which are regular fast trains. The travel time by these trains is around 10 minutes. Please avoid the “stoptrein” (slow train).
In normal circumstances all trains to Leiden leave from platform 6.

From the Central Station there are buses to the ‘Breestraat’ or ‘Kort Rapenburg’ (about 2 stops), from which it is about 5 minute walk to the university buildings along the canal. You can take busses:
