July School Holiday Super Clinic

The Tigers Community Develop- ment Manager Chris Gallagher along with Werribee players Jared Risol, Will Martiniello and Tom Ruggles and a team of volunteers hosted the July School holiday Super clinic.

There was a last minute change of venue from Point Cook to Doutta Stars Oval but that did not worry the 120 children who attended from 5 YMCA holiday centres.

The players signed autographs and took the young charges through a series of fun football skills and drills.

Each child involved received an Auskick football and a North Melbourne Football Club cap. Right on the Button

Toughest opponent: I remember being frightened of Jack Marshall from Dandenong in the early 90’s.He was a big guy, was hard at it, did not baulk a contest and had an intimidating presence on the field.

Toughest Team Mate: Hard to pick one. I was glad Phil O’Keefe was on our team a couple of times. Jack Aziz could handle himself alright too. Blokes like Adam Taylor and Trent Churchill were tough in the way they went about their footy. At times they didn’t have any concern for their own safety and would never shirk an issue.

Biggest Character: Again Hard to pick one. Jack Aziz was larger than life. He regularly backed up his on field performance with his off field behaviour. In my early days Robbie “Village Idiot” Morris was someone I always got a chuckle out of and the mercurial Stephen Sells can’t be overlooked either for his perfor- mances on and off the field.

Do you keep in touch with teammates: Not as much as I would like. I still occasionally catch up with Dallas Normington through work and he was coach at Melton where I also got to play in another flag with Mark Cullen. I have also been lucky enough to have crossed paths with a few of the lads on occa- sions like Lynton Fitzpatrick, Shaun Smith, Matthew Sutton and Glen Wilkins. I attempt to get back to the past players days as much as possible. Tigers in Action
