APPLETON:

Street A Week conducted on Dean Close & Dean Street. This was done in conjunction with the Problem Solving Team in aim to gather further evidence for a CBO. No returned surveys as of yet.

Foster St, Albert Road & Cooper Street – Surveys are being returned and action being taken from these, in association with HBC.

Trucam: Conducted on Peel House Lane (Varying directions) throughout March. Zero activations.

Bollards to be installed at the jct of Ansdell Road and Peel House Lane as a result of parking issues.

Victoria Park: Following reports of issues with youths gatherings at the location, Operation Sanction was conducted at Victoria Park over Easter weekend. This operation was initiated to provide a deterrent to potential offenders, for public confidence and their continued enjoyment of the park.

Hate incidents were reported from a local convenience store involving a groups of youths. Targeted patrols by officers and PCSOs over recent weeks has resulted in a number of persons being dealt with.

Male detained after shoplifting at WILKO by security, breaching his CBO. In an unrelated incident another male was arrest- ed for breach of his CBO.

BIRCHFIELD:

Community Engagement: The memorial Meadow Project has had two Covid-compliant events

Local families attended in intervals to plant 18 trees. The second event was planting Meadow flowers

62 plots were allocated to local families and in 15 minute interval planted up each plot. Again Covid compliant.

Trucam: Speed enforcement has been carried out on 6 occasions throughout March

Surgeries: There's have been 6 surgeries held in March.

There are no major areas of concern at the present time.

A lot of community related issues have been highlighted via Facebook

Road safety: Colvend Way has had a speed indicating device (SIDS) installed and the data from this unit has been sent to HBC for analysis

There have been several reports of drug dealing around old Upton lane and Upton Grange and an Intelligence Report has been submitted for further investigation.

BROADHEATH:

NEWSLETTERStreet a week – surveys posted in the Cradley area due to ongoing issues with drug activity. Have received a handful of replies so far.

TruCam conducted on Road. Two activations recorded this month with 44mph maximum speed recorded.

PCSO surgeries held via social media (virtually) at the moment due to covid restrictions. Regular contact with local council- lors maintained. School visits- regular contact made with the schools and school patrols carried out.

Regular contact with residents inc. posts on social media regarding crimes, asb etc. Regular patrols throughout the area reassurance visits, road safety, scam alerts and other community information such as support groups and activities in MAR local area. 2021 Extra attention given to areas around Cradley, Avondale Drive, Bankfield Road, Delamere Avenue and Lodge Place due to reports of drug activity and ASB. Patrols also carried out around the Widnes R.U. ground on Heath Road. Widnes LPU

DITTON:

Trucam speed enforcement was conducted on Road and Coronation Drive .

Police Surgeries are currently conducted virtually at the moment and regular contact is being maintained with local ward and Parish Councillors

Regular high visibility patrols throughout the area, including Hough Green Park, Clincton Woods, Queens Avenue and Our Lady’s Club on Mayfield Avenue.

Two persons were arrested in the Crown Ave – Westminster Close are of Ditton for public order offences.

School patrols resumed and have conducted regular patrols in the Ditton area.

Future plans for joint working with social housing providers, Halton Housing Trust and Halton Borough Council to improve the quality of life for residents.

The Safer Schools team visited St Michael with St Thomas CE School to talk about Internet Safety with years 5 and 6.

FARNWORTH:

Trucam: Conducted on Lunts Heath Road. No activations

Working with Lunts Heath Primary School regarding parking in the area. Letters sent to all residents in the area and a letter has been sent to all parents following the Easter holidays.

Regular attention to Derby Road/ Peel House Lane junction regarding parking issues. Advisories and tickets issued.

Working with Cronton College students to carry out Community Speed Watch around Widnes. This is being offered firstly to students of 18 years and above in Public Services with a hope of branching out to other courses of 18 and over. Community Speed Watch signs have been posted up and around Widnes for the area specified where this will be taking place.

HALE:

Halton Borough Council have supplied traffic barriers for the area of Church Road. This has eased the problem of NEWSLETTER inconsiderate parking in the area. Fixed Penalty Notices issued for obstruction offences.

Merseyside officers arrested two persons in Hale Village in connection with traffic offences committed in their force area. The vehicle used was also seized.

A cannabis farm was discovered in Hale Village resulting in one person being arrested

School patrols were able to resume.

MAR Catalytic converter stolen from a vehicle in Hale Village – Advisory message was sent out via “ Alert”.

Speed enforcement carried out on Hough Green Road and Prescott Road throughout March.

Schools visits conducted and regular contact with staff.

Regular Covid patrol throughout the Hough Green & Widnes area.

Regular patrols in the Cherry Sutton estate following reports of drug dealing and ASB. After a number of requests, the communal doors at the flats on the estate have now been replaced and upgraded, to add security.

Regular high visibility patrols in the Grizedale and Gleademere areas, after reports of drug dealing.

Trucam speed enforcement regularly conducted on Leigh Ave and Lower House Lane. Happy to report that there have been zero activations.

Parking issues on Birchfield Avenue, will be monitored over next couple of weeks.

NEWSLETTERCovid vaccinations continue to be dispensed at stadium and patrols regularly monitor the location.

Officers continue to gather information regarding the use and storage of road bikes in the area.

Youths causing issues around Milton Rd alley ways, receiving support from Riverside College to combat this.

RIVERSIDE:

PCSO Christopher Blake will now be the PCSO covering Riverside along with PC Gary Ellison,

TruCam speed enforcement was carried out on Riverside ward throughout March.

Weekly virtual surgeries have been carried out.

ASB and drugs remain priorities on the Riverside ward, with intel continually being developed. High Visibility and plain clothes officers regularly patrolling the area. Local residents liaised with safeguarding vulnerable members of the community, a priority

Fly tipping and bin fires on Nazareth house lane are being addressed with CCTV being recovered and viewed. Extra patrols are being conducted in the local area, regarding this matter
