CCF 2011 Summers Best Rock Concert Going on Sale FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For Further Information Contact: Jim Beriault, [email protected] (503) 968-6806 office It’s Summer’s Best Rock Party! The Clark County Fair Announces the biggest concert of the year! Mötley Crüe, Poison and New York Dolls to hit the stage Tickets go on sale this Saturday, May 21st All Fair Concerts in the Sleep Country Amphitheater! Ridgefield, WA –– The Clark County Fair Association is excited to announce they have secured one of the top touring concerts of the summer of 2011. On August 11th – Mötley Crüe, Poison and the New York Dolls will be hitting the stage at the Sleep Country Amphitheater rounding out an outstanding music line up for the Clark County Fair! This is one of the biggest rock shows on tour this year, and the Clark County Fair has these three powerhouse rock bands for ONE NIGHT ONLY! Tickets go on sale this May 21st at all Ticketmaster locations and HYPERLINK "http://Ticketmaster.com" Ticketmaster.com , and through the Clark County Fair’s new web site at HYPERLINK "http://www.ClarkCoFair.com" ClarkCoFair.com. The tickets are $35, $55, $65 & $85 and include admission to the Clark County Fair! “We have one of the top touring acts of the summer at an outstanding value for our Fair patrons. We’ve worked to keep our ticket prices reasonable for a concert of this caliber… so that Fair goers get an amazing value – spend the day at the fair and see a world class concert at night – two values for one ticket price,” said John Morrison, Fair Manager and CEO. August 11th – Clark County Fair Mötley Crüe, Poison and New York Dolls Be warned! Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the house, the world’s most notorious hard rock band, Mötley Crüe is back, and the story isn’t a pretty one, but this time it has a happy ending. The Crüe return with Saints of Los Angeles, their first CD with the original line-up -- Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil -- in over a decade and the ninth studio album in their career. Based on the autobiographical events with very personal lyrics, the revealing CD offers tremendous insight into the lives of the rebellious leaders of the “L.A. sleaze rock” movement. Playing live is what Poison is all about. The music acts as a soundtrack to their live show. If you are an avid Poison fan, then their appearance at the Clark County Fair is one not to miss. If you have never seen Poison live, you'll be convinced that this is a band to be reckoned with. In a time when most music is manipulated, copied, pasted and auto tuned in digital recording studios, the question that always begs to be answered now more than ever is, "But, can they play it live?" Well, Poison can and always has! The title of the New York Dolls’ fifth studio album, Dancing Backward in High Heels, might be seen as a reference to their long-lost penchant for provocateur drag, as seen on the iconic black-and- white-and-pink cover of their 1973 debut. But the phrase also alludes to the grand illusion in which hard work is disguised as effortless grace. As untold thousands of bands who’ve taken the Dolls as their inspiration could tell you, all that proto-punk passion and strutting ain’t quite as easy as it looks. The New York Dolls are back in action and touring the country, and this rare appearance should be a treat for the countless Dolls fans across the US. -more- Additional Concerts at the Clark County Fair this year! Additionally see The Beach Boys, REO Speedwagon, Dierks Bentley with special guest Josh Kelley, and Three Days Grace with special guests My Darkest Days. All concerts will be inside the Sleep Country Amphitheater adjacent to the Fairgrounds. Ticket prices to all concerts include free fair admission on the day of the concert (only). August 5th The Beach Boys – 7:30pm Oh, you’ll have fun, fun, fun as The Beach Boys come to the Clark County Fair. These iconic surf rockers have been surfing the music charts for more than 40 years. Get ready to hear all your favorite hits spanning the decades. August 6th REO Speed Wagon – 7:30pm Sure, you can call the members of REO Speedwagon rock stars. But if you have to label them, here’s the more accurate term they prefer: Working musicians. Formed in 1967, signed in 1971 and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon has – for decades – been a confounding blend of consistency and change and chart toppers with a certified 22 million albums sold in the U.S. and 40 million around the globe August 8th Dierks Bentley with special guest Josh Kelly – 7:30pm Dierks Bentley is an American country music artist who has been at the top of the charts, and has become an influence on the country music scene. Go)", "Feel That Fire" and "Sideways". Four more of his singles have reached Top Five on the country charts as well. Josh Kelley decided - after spending the majority of the past decade as a successful pop and adult contemporary artist - to return to the Southern sound he’s loved since childhood with his upcoming MCA Nashville country release. always contained discernible country flair. August 9th Three Days Grace with special guest My Darkest Days – 7:30pm For Three Days Grace - when it came time to choose an album title for the follow-up to their 2006’s platinum-certified One-X, the four band members thought the phrase “life starts now” summed things up pretty well. The world doesn’t yet belong to My Darkest Days, but they’ve come a long way since singer/guitarist Matt Walst, drummer Doug Oliver and bassist Brendan McMillan started the band. # # # The Clark County Fair celebrates 143 years of showcasing Clark County’s rich agricultural heritage, community participation and outstanding commerce. The Clark County Fair has grown into the largest single location event in the Vancouver/Portland area offering activities for the entire family. All the thrills of Summer’s Best Party at the Clark County Fair return this August 5 through 14, 2011. For more information visit HYPERLINK "http:// www.ClarkCoFair.com" ClarkCoFair.com ..

  • Smoke Detectors
Smoke Detectors Smoke detectors are devices that are mounted on the wall or ceiling and automatically sound a warning when they sense smoke or other products of combustion. When people are warned early enough about a fire, they can escape before it spreads. Facts Every year thousands of people die from fires in the home. Fire kills an estimated 4,000 American every year. Another 30,000 people are seriously injured by fire each year. Property damage from fire costs us at least $11.2 billion yearly. Most fire victims feel that fire would "never happen to them." Although we like to feel safe at home, about two-thirds of our nation's fire deaths happen in the victim's own home. The home is where we are at the greatest risk and where we must take the most precautions. Most deaths occur from inhaling smoke or poisonous gases, not from the flames. Most fatal fires occur in residential buildings between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. when occupants are more likely to be asleep. More than 90 percent of fire deaths in buildings occur in residential dwellings. Types of Smoke Detectors There are two basic types of smoke detectors: 1. Ionization Detectors The ionization detector is the most common type in use and generally less expensive to purchase at $5 to $20. They contain radioactive material that ionizes the air, making an electrical path. When smoke enters, the smoke molecules attach themselves to the ions. The change in electric current flow triggers the alarm. The radioactive material is called americium.

  • Inside the Acms with RAC Clark Our Annual Interview with Exec
April 18, 2016, Issue 495 Inside The ACMs With RAC Clark Our annual interview with Exec. Producer RAC Clark offers insight into the 51st ACM Awards (4/3) and many of its notable performances. CA: Let’s hit the numbers first and talk about this year’s ratings... RAC: They sucked. I’ll just say that. They sucked. [Ed. Note: 11.18 million viewers, 2.3 rating/7 share]. But it was one of the more competitive nights we’ve had since being up against the American Idol finale a few years back. The Walking Dead was big. The iHeart awards didn’t rate that well, really, so I don’t think that hurt us. The Walking Dead really got us and Steve Harvey’s Little Big Shots is a new hit on NBC that actually beat us in the second half-hour at 8pm. We won the night, but ratings were down year- to-year after a spectacular year in Dallas with the 50th. When we talked to producer Robert Deaton about the CMAs, he said, “I’ve never completely understood wanting to compare us against the AMAs, Grammys, ACMs or In A Big Way: EMI/Nashville’s Eric Paslay (third Oscars.” His point was, an awards show’s competition is from right) with (l-r) WEBG (Big 95.5)/Chicago’s Erik what it’s facing that night, not something that’s airing in Zachary and Mason, EMI’s Chris Fabiani and the an entirely different month. Do you agree? station’s Steve Stewart, Alabama and Remy. (continued on page 7) ©2016 Country Aircheck™ — All rights reserved.

August 2012 Newsletter ------------------------------------ Yesterday & Today Records P.O.Box 54 Miranda NSW 2228 Phone: (02) 95311710 Email:[email protected] www.yesterdayandtoday.com.au ------------------------------------------------ Postage Australia post is essentially the world’s most expensive service. We aim to break even on postage and will use the best method to minimise costs. One good innovation is the introduction of the “POST PLUS” satchels, which replace the old red satchels and include a tracking number. Available in 3 sizes they are 500 grams ($7.50) 3kgs ($11.50) 5kgs ($14.50) P & P. The latter 2 are perfect for larger interstate packages as anything over 500 grams even is going to cost more than $11.50. We can take a cd out of a case to reduce costs. Basically 1 cd still $2. 2cds $3 and rest as they will fit. Again Australia Post have this ludicrous notion that if a package can fit through a certain slot on a card it goes as a letter whereas if it doesn’t it is classified as a “parcel” and can cost up to 5 times as much. One day I will send a letter to the Minister for Trade as their policies are distinctly prejudicial to commerce. Out here they make massive profits but offer a very poor number of services and charge top dollar for what they do provide. Still, the mail mostly always gets there. But until ssuch times as their local monopoly remains, things won’t be much different. ----------------------------------------------- For those long term customers and anyone receiving these newsletters for the first time we have several walk in sales per year, with the next being Saturday August 25th.

(i) PREFACE This Report has been compiled for the Chief Fire Officer of Avon Fire Brigade. It represents the unfettered findings, conclusions and recommendations of the official Brigade Investigation Team following our comprehensive inquiries into the fatal fire at Leos Supermarket, Staple Hill, Bristol on 4th February 1996, which claimed the life of Firefighter Fleur Lombard. When the Terms of Reference for the investigation were agreed, the then Chief Fire Officer declared that the investigation should be rigorous, searching and open in its approach and leave no stone unturned in the quest to find out all of the facts. In presenting our findings, we have been conscious of the contentment expressed by the Home Office Inspectorate, the Health and Safety Executive and the Fire Brigades Union for their own initial inquiries to be served by this investigation. In conducting the investigation, we have addressed specific issues raised by the Health and Safety Executive which are covered in the Report and at the same time, attempted to harness and report on wider issues which we anticipated would be of particular relevance to the Home Office and the Fire Brigades Union within the Terms of Reference laid down.
