Hockey East Semifinals • It is both the Eagles’ and No. 4 Boston University’s (19-13-4, 12-8-4 HEA) 24th ap- #1 BC vs. #4 BU - 5pm ^ pearance in the semifinals, the most of any program in Hockey East Tournament play. #2 NU vs. #3 PC - 8pm ^ Boston College has won the Lamoriello Trophy 11 times in its history, while the Terriers have claimed eight total Hockey East Tournament titles. ^ NESNplus, ESPN3, TSN GO • The matchup features the two winningest teams in Hockey East Tournament history. The Terriers claim a record of 72-39-1 while the Eagles carry a 70-31-2 all-time mark. • It marks just the sixth time the two programs have met in the semifinals. Boston Uni- versity holds a 3-2 mark over their rivals in those previous five games, although the Eagles emerged victorious, 4-3, in a last year’s semifinal between the two. • Jerry York (60-20-1) is just two wins away from tying the all-time mark in Hockey East Tournament play, currently held by BU’s Jack Parker (62-35-1). Saturday 3/17 • Both Boston College and Boston University claim three players each on the Hockey Hockey East Championship - 7pm ^ East All-Star second and third teams. The Eagles send Casey Fitzgerald (North Read- ing, Mass.) to the second team while Michael Kim (Toronto, Ont.) and Joseph Woll (St. ^ NESNplus, ESPN3, TSN GO Louis, Mo.) were named to the third team. Dante Fabbro (New Westminster, B.C.) and Bobo Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.) represent the Terriers on the second team alongside Jordan Greenway (Canton, N.Y.) who picks up a third team nod. • Fitzgerald was named the ‘47 Brand Best Defensive Defenseman in league play on Wednesday, as voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches. • Eagles’ rookie Logan Hutsko (Tampa, Fla.) was the lone unanimous selection to the Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team. Joining him on the team were BU’s Shane Bowers (Halifax, N.S.) and Brady Tkachuk (St. Louis, Mo.).

No. 2 Northeastern vs. No. 3 Providence - Fri. 3/16 • No. 2 Northeastern (21-8-5, 15-6-3 HEA) will skate against No. 3 Providence (22-10-4, 13-7-4 HEA) for just the sixth time in the Hockey East Tournament in three previous series. The Huskies and Friars have not played against each other in the postseason since a 1994 quarterfinal series. • The Huskies are 2-7 in eight all-time semifinal appearances. Providence returns to the TD Garden for the fifth time in the last seven seasons looking to advance to the championship for the first time since 2001. • In the 2017-18 regular season, Providence staked a 1-0-1 mark over Northeastern. • Northeastern put four skaters onto the Hockey East All-Star First Team, just the third time in league history four players on the first team have come from one school. The players honored included (Voorhees, N.J.), Jeremy Davies (Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Qué.), Dylan Sikura (Aurora, Ont.), and Adam Gaudette (Braintree, Mass.) The Huskies further played Nolan Stevens (Sea Isle City, N.J.) on the second team. • Sikura and Gaudette were both named finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award on Wednesday. They are just the fifth and sixth players to be named finalists for the honor from Northeastern after Zach-Aston Reese was a Top 3 finalist in 2017. • Rounding out the first team was a pair of Providence players inJacob Bryson (London, Ont.) and Erik Foley (Mansfield, Mass.). The six players will do battle at 8 p.m. in the second semifinal on Friday at the TD Garden. • Players from Providence and Northeastern also racked up a bevy of awards Wednesday. The Friars’ Bryson was hon- ored with the Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award, Brian Pinho (North Reading, Mass.) was tabbed as Gladiator Custom Mouthguards Best Defensive Forward and Northeastern’s Gaudette was named the Hockey East Three Stars Award winner and the Hockey East Scoring Champion, while Primeau was honored as the Stop It Goaltending of the Year.
