13:00 Welcome and introduction to the Community Energy South Discussions hosted by award-winning Community Energy Group, OVESCo - Chris Rowland & Liz Mandeville introduce 2014 - A year of Community Energy and the growth of new energy groups across Sussex.

13:15 Ashden Awards 2014 - Supporting the growth of Community Energy - Mike Pepler Programme Manager for Ashden gives us an insight into their support network and winners from across the years, including our very own OVESCo.

13:30 HKD Energy - John Willis will introduce a new community energy group based in Hassocks, Keymer and Ditchling and their !rst community solar project, soon to be launched at Downlands School.

13:45 Barcombe Energy Group - Ollie Pendered will introduce the Barcombe Rural District Heat project and working with o" the gas grid communities.

14:00 Cuckmere Valley Solar - Alister Scott introduces the pitfalls and highs of developing a large scale community owned solar project and working with a developer to develop a joint venture commercially and community solar project.

14:15 DEBATE - Norman Baker MP, will chair a debate with the !rst community energy speakers on the importance of Community Energy in and Sussex.

14:35 Hearing from the next generation – Norman Baker MP will introduce the Eco Students from Ringmer Community College and their work in the college, and the wider schools network. We will see presentations from both Priory and Secondary schools whom have received funding from OVESCo to grow their own schools Eco Groups.
