9 The Trans Pennine Trail - LEAVE IT ALONE !!

Source Wikipedea The Trans Pennine Trail is a long-distance path running from coast to coast across Northern Englandentirely on surfaced paths and using only gentle gradients (it runs largely along disused railway lines and canal towpaths). It forms part of European walking route E8 and is part of the as Route 62 (referencing the which also crosses the ). The surface and gradients make it a relatively easy trail, suitable for cyclists, pushchairs and wheelchairusers. Some parts are also open to horse riding. The trail is administered from a central office in , which is responsible for promotion and allocation of funding. However, the twenty-seven local authorities whose areas the trail runs through are responsible for management of the trail within their boundaries.

We should be proud of the TPT we are very lucky to have it running through our TOWN and should be promoting and extending it not wrecking it. There has to be a place for green space and for wildlife to thrive. Very shortsighted !!

10 A crossing over the Ship canal in Grappenhall/Thelwall/Latchford, really .. is that necessary ? Cutting through communities. I say again traffic needs to be taken away and around the town not straight through it.

11 The lack of proper consultation, the timing of the release of information to a website has raised questions about the Councilors motives and connections with developers. There needs to be much more transparency and disclosure of links with the companies that stand to benefit from these plans. I think there is justification for an investigation to be made as outdated and unsubstantiated "facts" and figures were used again and again in the very hard to follow documentation. 12 A 20 year plan in our consistently changing world is unreasonable. Advances in technology is an unknown quantity. A 10 year plan is a stretch enough. People are working from home much more now. 13 Your vision for is flawed and not what is needed or wanted. We have always been an industrial town. Now as time moves on and we have lost the industry and the pollution that goes along with it, we don't need other towns/cities traffic thundering through our heart. There is a need to alleviate traffic through the town centre without a doubt. So talk to the people of Warrington and listen to what we think instead of the the developers who want to build build build and add to our woes. It is also important to take traffic surveys and air pollution tests before any attempt to build new roads.

I suppose you will be a bit busy to reply but I really hope you are listening.
