The good news is, for the next two years, both Ms Ng and Mr Thong will not have to worry too much about their grocery bills. NTUC FairPrice Foundation will be “picking up the tab” with the Daily Needs Programme it launched for SPD on 12 January 2011. Under the programme, the NTUC FairPrice Foundation will be donating vouchers to the tune of $144,000 to help nearly 200 needy individuals and families under SPD with household income below $1,500 meet their daily needs. All in all, each individual or family will receive $30 worth of FairPrice vouchers every month over the next two years.
